  • Buggy and No longer updated

    By Drbiner
Up until two years ago this was a fine and useful app. Since that time however it has developed many bugs which render it unusable. I contacted the (Eastern European) developers at one point and they wanted me to enable a keystroke logger in order to determine the apps problems.

This app is not for everyone, but it is made for Designers. It allows you to actually CREATE FORMS. Not only make, edit, and fill PDFs. For example, suppose you want to make a form that other people can fill out. You can create drop down boxes, checkboxes, or forms that automatically do calculations for you. However, if you only want to do all of the other basic things with PDFs, then I recommend Readdle Documents (very basic & free), or PDF Expert by Readdle (lots of advanced functionality). **Note: I do not work for Readdle, but I really like & use all of their apps!
  • Great, as usual...but

I’m not taking away from my original review below, but I’m lowering my stars from 5 to 3. This is still a great product. The problem I have is that you’re paying for the subscription, but they aren’t updating the app. I can’t remember a meaningful update since I started using it years ago. That is the sore point, not the subscription itself. All the other apps have been updated except the one I’m paying the most. ————————————- I have all of Readdles apps. This company does quality work and I have never been disappointed with their products. They produce the kind of apps that once you have it, you don't need to go hunting for anything new. PDF Office is a fantastic idea beautifully executed. I'm novice at creating PDFs and I've sent a request to Readdle for them to include templates. The great customer service that they have replied the next day asking for my ideas. No, the subscription isn't ideal, but it's not as horrible as some are making it out to be. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. You want a quality app, then you're going to have to pay a small price for the people who make the app to eat. It's that simple. Seriously, look at all those apps charging you $99.99 for a basket of digital gold coins! Again, you get what you pay for.

I have all of Readdle’s Apps because in my opinion they turn my iPad into a laptop. I have been willing to pay pricey flat rate fees for these apps. However, PDF office requiring a subscription is not wise if you ask me. I think people like me would be willing to pay a one time $25 fee, maybe even $30 to get PDF Office. But a subscription is way too much to ask. Especially given the fact that most of us wanting this app are loyal Readdle fans who have already shelled out a pretty penny as it is to get all the other apps...
  • This is a subscription service

I am a fan of this developer, but I find it less that honest to wait until customers download and open the app before advising them that this app requires a monthly subscription to unlock the features that are most valuable. Buyer beware.
  • Not maintained

I can no longer recommend this app.
  • Useless

Came to my surprise it’s a subscription based to unlock and do what Acrobat can do for free
  • A joke

    By Élias de Kelliwic’h
I just unlocked the monthly subscription to access all features as I didn't take my Mac at work. The PDF edition is a joke at best. Everything is buggy, some elements will disappear by themselves for no reason. Some existing text will get textbox border, some will be corrupted and go to another line despite it was perfect on other PDF viewer. I have never seen that before. Very disappointed by Readdle and the App Store reviewers to let that go through the review. The feature they are selling are clearly not working. Meanwhile I discovered PDF Viewer which is free and let you modify pdf and works flawlessly.
  • Good app

Very useful for me. For the subscription price (which I'm happy to pay) I would like to see more regular updates and feature adds. Where is merging of pdfs? Why is "create PDF from an image" buggy? I would love to see Readdle treat this as their top end offering. Maybe they think this, but no update since Oct 7th. I want this to be a great app. It's almost there.
  • Best in the App Store

AMAZING!!!!!! I highly recommend this app for anyone who uses pdf editing or creating. If I have issues, I email Developer and get a quick and VERY helpful response. Love ALL Readdle apps. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!
