Just spent more than 30 minutes in chat and over the phone trying to find how to search a WaPo article I read on a Facebook post. It’s impossible, try it. I can Google the article and find it, but cannot search it on WashingtonPost.com or the app. Ugh.

I rely on the Washington Post and consider it a privilege to support it, Bezos notwithstanding.

I subscribed yesterday and paid. Received confirmation that I paid, but just keeps fading and wants me to subscribe again. Now have to go thru the process of getting my money back!

  • Love the Post, but this app should be better

I spend every morning looking at a white screen, waiting for even a single article to load on my slow, rural internet. Not everyone has 100 mbit speeds! Then there’s the fact that I have to quit the app at least 3x a week because it won’t scroll anymore. Jeff Bezos, invest a bit more into this app, to make the wonderful words of the Post shine a bit brighter!

Balanced news that makes me as a new US Citizen take part of what is happening in the US and around the globe. Have tried nine different news sources but are coming back to Washington Post and BBC.

In a whirlwind world, it is a relief to read challenging articles that inform while stimulating ones own thought processes.
  • writing and coverage is good. format unclear. Pop-ups.

Whoops, I said it all in the title: Good writing and news coverage. Confusing format, layout. The hint of pop- ups which must be responded to before I can proceed. The warning not to do this in my paid subscription.
  • Washington Post: A Lifeline To Reality

Without the WP and the NYT I would sink beneath the waves of lies, distortions and deceits awash in our current times. It astounds me that the journalists, editors and supporting staff can courageously show up daily, 24/7 report and find and reveal facts and truth even though they know they will be excoriated and slandered by powerful people. As long as there are Washington Posts there is still hope for our country.
