This app is stupendously wonderful. I'm not sure why people are hating, but I'm sure that if I were them, I wouldn't hate for sure! This app isn't a drawing app. A lot of people keep saying "I cannot even draw a straight line!!" Seriously. This app is more of a painting app than a drawing app. There is a lot of different brushes SPECIFICALLY used for PAINTING. I'm not even sure why people keep saying stuff that are related to drawing. The brushes are right in front of your face, and also, please look closely before you review! Because, I would definitely recommend this app to each person I know in this whole entire world.
  • Awesome update! Procreate is the best!

It was a pleasant surprise to see the Procreate Pocket app update today. Although I haven’t had a chance to really put it through its paces yet, the refreshed UI is beautiful and much more intuitive than it was before. Performance is snappy and I’ve been able to create some really cool sketches. Also, if you have an iPad and you’re not yet using Procreate on it, do yourself a favour and purchase it now. I enjoy painting and pen and ink work — it’s simply the best value on the AppStore and the closest thing to having a box full of art supplies in hand all the time. 🙂 PS — if there’s any way to bring support to the SonarPen which will release in July, that would make really my day. A couple other drawing apps like IbisPaint are supporting the stylus and I’d love to have pressure sensitive drawing on my iPhone with Procreate Pocket. Update: I should specify that the developer is correct about Procreate Pocket having pressure sensitivity on iPhone 6s and newer phones. It works reasonably well too. But as a very tall person with very big hands to match having a more precise, pressure sensitive stylus optimised for use when I’m away from my iPad is something I’ve wanted for ages. I’ve tried other solutions and had mediocre results in the past. Perhaps the Apple Pencil on iPad has spoiled me. In any case, I’ll update again in July 2018 to let others know how the SonarPen works in Procreate and compare it with the other usual suspects (IbisPaint, MediBang, and SketchClub). If you have smaller hands, have had better luck with styluses that are currently on the market for iPhone, or happen to be a little less obsessive about your quick sketches than I am, then you may be fine without third-party equipment.

  • Great App, Helpful Developers

This app is pretty good. Happy with the new update. Except one thing: It seems like it’s impossible to unstack artworks. Fix this? Edit: Thanks, Savage! It worked. Everyone, never mind. No problem!
  • Update = Good but Not Perfect

    By YaHobGob
To say I’m blown away with the update is an understatement! I love that there are soooo many new brushes and I’m enjoying experimenting with them all. I only have one issue: Importing both images and PSD files. Neither of them seem to work. Images does if I put it into an open canvas, and uploading files into said canvas makes it a simple, flat, one-layer image. But when it comes to importing from the main screen (both photos from the camera roll and PSD files from whatever app you use, trust me, I’ve tried a lot), where you get the layers and what not, the app straight up crashes. It’s extremely frustrating, especially because I’m so used to Procreate as a whole. If this gets fixed, I’ll be switching over to it as my full time creation app. If not... whelp, there’s other apps such as Sketchbook that can open the files I need, properly.
  • Too much for pocket edition...

I used the Pocket Procreate often. I love some of the new features, but all in all, this is way too difficult for a tiny phone. So much to relearn. Download Sketch Club, and you’ll have better luck!
  • Best drawing app!

The is the best drawing app for the iPhone! Just like the iPad version. It’s very powerful! Now just patiently waiting for Apple Pencil to come to iPhone....
  • Marvelous

This is a very sophisticated painting and drawing app. The iPad experience is exceptional as well. I’m very pleased that the developers have resisted temptation to switch to arbitrary in-app purchase subscription “pay-to-play” model as I’ve seen many creative apps do these days. Perhaps my only wish is automatic cloud sync functionality. iCloud or Dropbox etc. (I feel that would be worthy of an in-app purchase to unlock that kind of feature.)
  • Awesome update but....

You guys did amazing job with a new update. I am an Illustrator and I adore simplicity of this app...but when I was testing BETA version I was having problems with timelapse recording. Somehow it cuts more than 50% of my work, and it’s usualy the middle part. So it ends up stiching the beginning and ending into one piece.😒 And now it’s happening again in public version. Besides that everything else is just fine. UPDATE: I’ve send a few mails to customer support and WOW. These guys are on 100% on solving your problems. I’ve never experience anything like this in my life! 👌🏽🥇
  • Great drawing app

Procreate is probably one of the best drawing apps out there. Its most recent update gives the user so many brushes to choose from and even if you don’t find all the ones you want by default in the app, you can still import new ones or create your own. I’ve been using procreate for a few years now, and it has always been my go-to drawing app. I definitely recommend it.
