Pocket Prep is your award-winning tool in mobile learning and exam preparation. Pocket Prep allows you to study anywhere, anytime, right from your mobile device. We strive to make studying more efficient by redefining how you prepare for the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE®). Create customized practice tests, view detailed answer rationales, and review your results with just a few taps! 2015 Academics’ Choice “Smart Media” award winner 2016 EdTech Digest “Cool Tool” award winner The Science Behind Mobile Learning: Overloading your brain with too much information at once is a common study mistake. Research has shown that smaller, more frequent study sessions are the key to knowledge retention. In other words, taking short quizzes on the go is a much more effective means of exam preparation than reading page after page in a textbook. Apps offer the benefit of interaction, which means you’re far more likely to remember a concept you engage with rather than one you’ve only read about. Take your VTNE® studies with you, no matter where life takes you. VTNE® Content Areas: - Anesthesia - Animal Care and Nursing - Dentistry - Diagnostic Imaging - Emergency Medicine/Critical Care - Laboratory Procedures - Pain Management/Analgesia - Pharmacy and Pharmacology - Surgical Nursing Get Started for Free: We provide a limited free version so you can get a feel for the app before deciding to upgrade. This app is very helpful but nowhere close to what you need to pass the VTNE. Took it and passed in August 2017.

Great questions, the daily questions keep you on your toes! I love the ability to customize your own exams!!! Specified fields of interest to test yourself on like Dentistry and Anesthesia!! If you are thinking about being an LVT or you're a vet tech who wants to sharpen your skills and knowledge THIS is the app for you! Yes, you have to pay ~16.00 to unlock the 500 questions but it's totally worth the $$ !! I have the cheapest college I've ever been to right in my pocket lol Thank you for making such an amazing learning tool!

It is well worth the money to buy this app. Its $15 for good quality questions similar to what I see in Mosby's or Elsevier. Would be nice to have more questions🙃
  • Love it!

    Nice and easy
  • Not always correct

Nice for an quick study, but not all of the questions are correct. For example- what is the first thing to do after gastrointestinal sx? Warming or feeding? Their answer was feeding. Shouldn't the patient be warmed asap after having the body cavity opened?? Ex. #2 what is the best way to reduce swelling at the surgical site? Their answer was exercise.... wouldn't that give them a seroma?
  • Great pocket app.

The only issue I have is that the explanations don't always explain the incorrect answers completely. Other than that, this app is fantastic!
  • Pretty happy

I paid 11 something when I upgraded to pro. I was pretty happy and the questions didn't repeat themselves. Recently tho they have been repeating a lot, but I still love the app and it has helped me review
  • Not worth the money

If you don't upgrade to the pro, the app is essentially worthless. You can answer one question a day. If you pay $15.99 to get the pro version, you can answer as many questions per day as you'd like. However there are less than 800 questions so those questions start to repeat themselves very quickly. The answers to the questions are ridiculous. If the answer to a question is A, the explanation will say "A is correct because A does what ever the question is asking. B,C, and D are incorrect because they do not do what the question is asking". Not worth the money or time at all. Very disappointed.
