    10% flat rate fee is excessive when you can sell your items elsewhere. Sell something for $1000, costs $100 to sell it.

    Originally I had placed a bad review for this app because of a bad experience with a seller. Ratings here in the App Store should not be about user to user experience but about the app itself, so I have decided to revise this review. I have been selling online since 2008 and I have tried ALL of the other apps and websites from eBay to Let-go and all points in between! MERCARI has a decent app, for the most part is stable and functions, but just like any other app, there are glitches here and there. Most problems in the app can be rectified by killing the app and reloading. I think the most annoying thing that happens is every once in awhile while I’m typing a response in messages the entire text box where I’m typing starts shaking up and down rapidly and I can’t finish my text. So I have to close the app and reload. It’s the only app that does this on my phone and the previous versions did it too so I’m pretty sure it’s a glitch in the software somewhere. Also, I get sounds about notifications, but not always an app badge even tho it’s turned on in my phone setting. This tends to hurt my business because I miss messages from potential buyers. Otherwise, I’m happy with the app, it’s very easy to use, no payment processing fees is a bonus, cheap flat rate prepaid shipping labels are a breeze to use, and to all the haters out there :10% commission is not a high commission compared to eBay + PayPal which can equal up to 15% per sale! I sell on all platforms and MERCARI and CL are my best sites for consistent sales!

    I downloaded the app and began to try and buy some items with a discount coupon they offered and within the day my account was shut down and I was not able to buy anything or write anyone back for items I had already been told I could buy. I tried to get in contact with the company and they decided I didn’t need the account anymore so overall I did not like this app.

    I’m having a hard time returning a item. I called mercari and I was on hold for 15 minutes and the operator kept extending the waiting time. I also updated to the new version and was still having problems requesting a return

    The $10 is not true doesn’t work for those I refer then they always come back to me and nag at me. I’m done referring. Another issue is it’s hard to get a hold of someone. Basically have to file your concern or complain where ever it allows you to send an email.

    I simply love Mercari. It has given me the ability to have extra income on a monthly basis, my selling my gently used items. I have had no issues using this great app.

    This app is cool unless there's an issue -- I've had bad customer service experiences. They just send you these pre-typed messages and copy and paste them over and over. Also their help center gives you the run around and the only way to talk to a human - if you count via messages on the app talking to a human - is to choose an option that basically has nothing to do with you actual issue. Also they deactivate your listings without asking you. Happened to me so I activated them and then they deactivated them the next day. I’ve yet to find an email address or phone number to speak to a real person. Overall this app is mediocre at best.

    The good thing is you can list whatever you want, its not as restrictive as other apps. Bad news is most buyers/sellers seem to be lazy millenials with a lax attitude towards service and shipping. So many rude people and scammers! Youre supposed to ship within three days but I have had sellers wait over a week to ship! Then they use Fedex which has the worst tracking services and is slower than even the USPS. At least i got my items as described because dealing with support is a hassle. No email no phine, only through facebook or the app. Then when they respond days later, they are very unhelpful. They site buyer/seller protection and take comission for this alleged service; but I havent seen any fulfillment of that promise. BIGGEST issue is you can pay with Paypal but cant get paid to your Paypal, they require a bank account to get your earnings. Well sorry, but Ill be damned if I link my financial info to a site that doesnt even have a customer service phone or email. Not that stupid. So I stick with Poshmark, the clientele is classier as a whole, and their customer service is top notch. And they ship by priority 2-4 day mail, give out actual checks or will paypal transfer on request.
