When I started playing this game I was amazed at how fun it was, I’ve gotten through Day, I’ve gotten through Night, I’ve gotten through Pool, but when I got to Fog level 9 things took a turn. I’VE BEEN TRYING TO BEAT FOG LEVEL 9 FOR DAYS (That’s right, days) BUT JUST CANNOT BEAT IT! This game is fun and all but FOG LEVEL 9 IS JUST TOO HARD.

I enjoyed Plants vs Zombies for years, and I had gotten the old version that didn’t have any adds before on my old Kindle Fire. So, one day I was feeling a bit nostalgic and decided to get it again. However, when I saw PvZ on the App Store it was free. There wasn’t the paid version in sight. I thought, okay, and got it anyway. I can say with confidence that EA ruined this game. Almost every part of it has been destroyed in order to earn, earn, earn money. First of all, the adds. I understand that because it’s free, but why did they have to remove the paid version. I remember it was about a dollar and probably one of the best ways I have spent a dollar. But noo, this time it’s 2.99 to remove the ads. 2.99 to play a sad little version of a once timeless game when you could have spent a dollar on the original, good version. Also, whenever I play I always turn off the WiFi so there are no ads. Second of all, what the heck is wrong with Zomboni’s head. People might say it’s a small thing but come on. The head is like two times the size of the other zombies. It just goes to show how EA doesn’t really care about the quality of PvZ. It would’ve been so easy to freaking fix the size of the head so Zomboni doesn’t look like a BOBBLEHEAD. EA just prays on the nostalgia of players in order to earn money. Third of all, these levels are weird and badly made. The menu screen for the levels is grainy, pixelly and disgusting. For some reason, it includes the plant or zombie that you will encounter in that level. So weird, and ruins the element of surprise for the game. And if there aren’t any new plants they just impose this weird, ugly picture of a sunflower at the bottom. What? Again, they don’t care about the quality of the game. Basically, there was not a single good thing that they added to PvZ. I gave three stars because I love the designs of the plants, the zombies, the music, the backgrounds. But none of that was made in the free version. This free version is again, ugly, grainy, lazy, choppy, weird and disgusting. If the paid version came back I would gladly buy it.

Like many of the old games here, Angry Birds, etc, have been ruined by updates or advertisements. 1. The most recent update has ruined the feel to nostalgia, as to you get to see what you will get that level. So, I want it back. 2. The ads, don’t get me started with those, as there is supposedly one after like, a level. 3. Watch to earn? No, just no. I want the extra mini-games to be bought by coins, not with advertisement. - MonkeysPopBloons
