  • Poor implementation and design, but great premise

Before I start, I want to point out that kinky and nonmonogamous people should give the app a chance. There are issues with the app and I will point them out below. I've been using this app almost since its inception for over 2 years now and in the US and Europe. It has always been very buggy and despite assurances to the contrary many use-critical bugs remain. That's unacceptable. But the people who continue to put up with this to various degrees are interesting and compelling. It really behooves the team behind this app to get their act together and ship a working app. In the current version messaging doesn't work properly. I get notifications that I have received a message, but when I tap onto the conversation the message isn't there. Sometimes the message doesn't show up for hours. Sometimes it shows up when I send a new message, but sometimes it doesn't. It's not clear what's preventing messages from showing up, even though the app shows there is a new message there and notifies me of it. This is a critical part of any dating app experience - communicating with your match. If you can't communicate, what's the point of using it? Then the whole UX/UI is awkward af. Often I'm going to be swiping up or down and in the middle of browsing someone's photos it will reload the matches and I will lose that profile before swiping either way. Similarly, it takes a long time to load profiles to swipe through and you can't navigate to any other part of the app in the meantime. That's odd behavior and very frustrating. Another thing that has been annoying since day one is that the profile text is implemented as tags. This is an incredibly poor design decision. Tags are ambiguous. If someone puts an interest in domination and submission it's not clear if they want to be dominated or to submit. It's the same for any tag, really. I think profiles need to be fleshed out more. You should have the ability to write free form text. Ideally, there should be a matching mechanism that takes into account personal preferences so that Doms don't get served other Dom/me profiles. There is a lot that can be done in this space. Another gripe is that the premium features are too expensive compared to other services and especially in relation to the quality of the app. The premium tiers of both Tinder and OKC are cheaper than this, and their apps work. I think another good development is to implement a system that keeps track of your location passively and alerts you when you pass by others using the app. Kind of like Happn. It's already a challenge finding other likeminded individuals. This app's potential is enormous. It's a shame there isn't a commensurate investment of talent and competence to live up to it.
  • Look around is backward

In the look around section displays the tiles backwards so the furthest people are first and you don't get to the closer people till the end. Also body's responded to my email when I emailed about this issue. Guess the creators only care when they're getting a bad review
  • No Fake Profiles

You will run out of potential matches quickly depending upon your location. This means they are not filling their app with millions of fake profiles, just so people can swipe all day. Probably the only dating app not doing that, AWESOME!
  • Buggy

Buggy,Buggy,Buggy... had a friend turn me on to this app, worked for her. I couldn't get it to load in properly from the start. Couldn't get past the registry process, kept seizing up and crashing ,then it said I already existed, per my Facebook account. I really wanted it to work.

But worth it. A place for people who like people. That simple
  • If you are trans, forget it

To begin with, they have only one category for all gender-nonconforming people. It's called "transsexual/transvestite/transgender." So trans men, trans women, gender fluid and gender queer people, and people who cross-dress for fun are all thrown Into the same bucket. In addition, you can never change your gender, so if you are trying to figure out who you are, you'd better just make your best guess. If you're wrong, better use another app, because you can't ever associate Feeld with a different Facebook page. My favorite part, though, is that you must use your main profile picture from Facebook as your main pic in the app. That means if you are trans and closeted, the only way to use this app is to literally out yourself to your friends, family and coworkers. Insulting and unusable: one star.

I accidentally reported a couple I matched with for no reason. Could you please move the report button somewhere else? Just somewhere that's not in the middle of the screen! Thank you.
