Description

The Arccos 360 app helps golfers of all skill levels play smarter to shoot lower scores. It works with the Arccos 360 connected golf system as well as the Cobra Connect system included with Cobra F8 drivers and irons. The Arccos 360 app also includes access to Arccos Caddie, the first artificial intelligence platform for golf, as a premium subscription. Arccos 360 automatically tracks and analyzes every shot you take. Additional features of Arccos 360 include data-driven insights into your optimal strategy on any hole in the world, GPS 2.0 for 40,000+ courses, Smart Distance averages for each club in your bag, Tour Analytics and much more. With the release of Arccos Caddie, the world's smartest caddie is now at your fingertips. In partnership with Microsoft, artificial intelligence determines your best path - and alternative strategies - by considering every shot you've taken with Arccos, as well as 100 million+ shots hit by the Arccos community and 418 million geotagged data points. After a trial period of five rounds, a tiered subscription pricing - $7.99/1 month, $39.99/6 months, $49.99/1 year with a 1-month free trial - allows users to choose the option that best suits their needs. Based on the "Rules Changes for 2016" published on December 13, 2015 and available at www.usga.org, the Arccos 360 app conforms to the Rules of Golf. The Arccos 360 app can now be used in Stipulated Rounds when a local rule permitting the use of distance-measuring devices is in effect, so long as a golfer does not review data from a hole previously played during that round. The Arccos 360 app works with Arccos 360 sensors, first-generation Arccos Golf sensors and Cobra F8 drivers and irons. Arccos 360 users simply attach one sensor to the end of each club grip, then complete a one-time pairing process. At the start of a round, users launch the Arccos 360 app, then place their iPhone in a front pocket. The system then automatically records every shot a golfer makes, analyzes the data in real time and provides actionable insights about how to shoot lower scores by playing smarter golf. Arccos stats are available instantly on your iPhone or Apple Watch as you play, or after your round on any tablet or computer - anytime, anywhere. Unlike competing products, Arccos requires no tagging, tapping or other annoying disruptions to a player's routine. Arccos delivers data on distances hit, club averages, driving accuracy, greens in regulation, sand saves, putts and more. By accessing the Tour Analytics web dashboard, Arccos users and their instructors can gain valuable insights via deep dives into stats, playing patterns and rich data comparison for every club, shot, hole and round. The Arccos 360 system includes support for Apple Watch, featuring quick access to GPS distances, adding and removing putts, and helpful club suggestions - all without needing to take your iPhone out of your pocket. The Arccos 360 app uses the iPhone's GPS at the highest level of accuracy while playing golf. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Arccos Caddie subscriptions are available in Annual ($49.99), Bi-Annual ($39.99) and Monthly ($7.99) terms. Payment for Monthly and Bi-Annual subscriptions will be charged to the user's iTunes account at confirmation of purchase, and Annual subscriptions will be charged upon expiration of the 30-Day free trial. The Arccos Caddie subscription will automatically renew for the original subscription price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period from the user's Account Settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription. Arccos Terms of Service: https://www.arccosgolf.com/pages/legal-terms-of-service

  • Microphone access required?

I’ve used this product since hardware v1. Have always enjoyed it. But a recent update requires mic access to use. Unsure why it’s required. No mention of how and why it’s used in their privacy policy.

I had this product for 3 years now and I can't stress enough how much I like it. It's just working great, need little to no maintenance, seamless scoring history. The best part is maybe the customer service. Those guys are so nice, they are willing to spend some time explaining the difference stats, but also really helpful about anything you want to ask. I had one sensor failing, they sent me a new one with 10 batteries, no question asked. WOW! I wish every customer service would be like that. Thanks Arccos!

The stats take a little getting used to but their support videos are spot on.
  • I’d give it five...

App is great and the website dashboard is also pretty good. The problem, is that I still have to carry the phone in my pocket. This makes little sense, specially when the new apple watch has both a GPS as well as accelerometers (to know when a swing happens). Also, and this is not top priority, but being able to preview a course once downloaded would be pretty good. I asked if they were working on this update and they said “no.” It’s a shame, would get 5 stars otherwise.

Found this to be fantastic in the v1 sensors had to put some missed shots in every once in a while. Just purchased 360 and will post my experience. Overall very very helpful to understand where you need to work. Excited about the 360!
  • Great app when it works.

So many times it freezes locks up can’t open even after I restart. Nothing worse then getting to a course wanting to use it and you can’t. Disappointed.
  • Only as good as the app

I love the idea and, when the app works, it’s really cool. Unfortunately, the app crashes all the time. Most of the time, the app won’t open on my phone. The Arccos symbol appears for a minute and then it’s gone. To use the app, I have to delete it, reinstall it and hope it makes it through the round. It’s not really usable and the frustration detracts from my round rather than enhancing it. When they get the app to work, it will be fun. I will post back here once it’s working right. Until then, a two star review reflects hope for what this can be.
  • So far...

So good. First off, got this as a Christmas gift (2017), and played with it once so far (its mid-Jan, and I live in the Northeast, specifically, NYC)—due to inclement weather, I haven’t test driven the kit as frequently as I’d like to because I’m addicted to golf and I need to improve my 15.3 handicap (and I’ve been playing for 2-years now). Before I even got to play with it, I had an issue with one of the sensors, but was absolutely floored when I received a customer service email regarding the sensor that wasn’t pairing—mind you, I needed a bit more light and it solved the issue. But what impressed me was that customer service reached out BEFORE I put in a request. It’s freaky, but that’s top-notch service. 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 To the kit: initially, I was skeptical about the system, but I was impressed with how it recorded shots and how little of extra work I had to do editing shots—yes, editing shots are a pain, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it as I go along. I still write down my scores and shots and putts using the good-old scorecard, and in a way, it’s good to to have old-school cross-referencing until I get the hang of using the app in its full glory. The sensors go on easy and tag very easily with a smartphone. The UI is very clever and extremely easy to access. There are not many cons for both hardware and firmware. I do like the ability to download the course prior to using it on the course (in case of poor mobile/cellular connection). The phone in the front-pocket-while-playing-business is not an issue for me and anyone who complains about it is full of it, because this day and age, everyone carries their phone in their front pocket—it’s funny to see reviews that have people complain about it. And again, it’s a no-brainer and it’s really not that big of a deal. I think this system will help me (and most golfers), and I’m very excited to see the meticulous details that it will provide me going forward with my game—since I’m a novice golfer, I’d like as much help as possible on the green as I would in a practice session; may not be technical help on the course, but at least with course management. It may or may not be a perfect system, but no system at any level is perfect, there are pros and cons for anything tech related (see iPhones or Samsung or Microsoft or even Intel with the latest gaffe that affects ALL systems that have a chip)—so fret not, but enjoy the system for what it is. I highly recommend Arccos 360 for anyone who is interested in a system that will help with their game!
