Description

Powered by your data and Artificial Intelligence developed in partnership with Microsoft, the Arccos Caddie app provides any player, anywhere with access to Golf’s Smartest Caddie. It works with Arccos Smart Sensors (formerly branded Arccos 360), Arccos Smart Grips, and the Cobra Connect system that comes standard with most Cobra Golf drivers and irons sets. Arccos Caddie features include: · Automatic Shot Tracking – Experience hands-free data capture with no tagging or annoying disruptions · Smart Distance Club Averages – Know how far you really hit each club · Caddie Advice – Receive your best strategy for every shot on any hole in the world · Advanced Analytics – Use performance breakdowns to guide your practice and equipment choices · "Plays Like" Distances – Get rangefinder GPS distances adjusted for the impact of wind speed, wind direction and elevation Arccos Caddie insights are available for 40,000+ courses worldwide and are based on your personal performance data (unlocked after you play 5 rounds), as well as more than 100 million shots taken by the Arccos community worldwide. Arccos Caddie also offers a tournament mode that Conforms to the Rules of Golf (USGA Decision #2017-0754). To use Arccos Caddie, players simply pair their Arccos sensors one time, launch the app and place their iPhone in a front pocket. Data captured includes club usage, distances hit, club averages, driving accuracy, approach shot accuracy, greens in regulation, sand saves, putts and more. By accessing the Player Dashboard, Arccos users and their instructors can gain valuable insights via deep dives into stats, playing patterns and rich data comparison for every club, shot, hole and round. The Arccos Caddie system includes support for Apple Watch, featuring quick access to GPS distances, adding and removing putts, and helpful strategy recommendations - all without needing to take your iPhone out of your pocket. The Arccos Caddie app uses the iPhone's GPS at the highest level of accuracy while playing golf. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. • Used to be a leader... starting to lag

I’ve been a fan from the start because of how innovative they were, but they’ve started to get behind. The competitors don’t even need to have a phone near by and offer lifetime tags now. I could do without the lifetime tags but the phone having to be near by is a killer. This might be my last season with them unless they make some changes. Update: app works well. However, the update that was “coming early in the spring,” to be able to use the system without your phone and just your Apple Watch, never actually came. That was disappointing.
  • Great when it works.

The distance view on the watch is nice but having to get my phone out to add penalty strokes, second attempts out of a bunker, and just make sure that the last shot was tracked is frustrating. If the watch app could tell me “last shot: 5i” and how many strokes I’ve taken would be fantastic. Adding a complication like some other golf GPS apps would be even better because tapping the complication would bring the app back up. Adding GPS from the watch’s position would let me leave my phone on the cart - with the older Bluetooth caps on the clubs.
  • Good idea/ great for distance

I really liked the app. I only have it on my driver but this season it hasn’t been working for some reason. It hasn’t been sensing my drives or my second hit. Im using the app for distances and that’s about it now.

Been using this app for a couple of years now and really enjoy statistics given. I use these to improve my game, which hopefully will improve my score. However since the latest updates, the app takes a considerable amount of time to start on the watch and my putts sometimes register. My first putt I always take time to line up, however my second is a bit rushed and I don’t expect to have it count. But as I said sometimes my putts are not registered at all. Either way I completely enjoy using this app

I find myself uninterested in using this app because it requires that I have the app in my pocket. It’s very uncomfortable golfing with my iPhone in my pocket, I wish that this app can display data on my iWatch and use iWatch gps for tracking.

Update 9/4: I purchased the smart grips to replace all the sensors that have fallen out over a short year, why was I forced to sign up for another subscription? I have an active subscription that was active until end of October... Granted I have a 1 year trial, but would've been nice to start AFTER my current subscription expired... This app is a glorified stroke counter. The caddie tool was nice but the best feature was only available on Apple watch. The app on the watch and phone are pretty flaky and the GPS can often be off by 20-30 yards from a manual range finder. The sensors fall out pretty easily, lost 2-3 from regular swings. Besides all that I would have given this at least a 3 stars because the caddie feature is the best out there, but I paid $100 for the caddie feature subscription and now it's free to everyone, would've been great if they hooked up the early supporters with some free sensors.

Main reason I purchased the Cobra F8 Irons at the start of the golf season was to get the free Arccos sensors that came with my new clubs. Unlike other apps, this is the least distracting golf app I’ve ever tried. Just put your phone in your front pocket and golf. You don’t have to manually track shots or enter your score. The app does everything. When you need a distance, just look at your phone. The GPS works just as good as much higher priced apps that don’t use grip sensors. Once you play enough rounds, the “caddie” offers suggestions. There is a learning curve. Took me a while to get used to golfing with my phone in my pocket. I turn off my phone ringer so I’m not bothered by calls or texts mid-round. I still keep a paper scorecard when playing with family and friends. I double check the app scores and stats when done. I use my putter often when I’m just off the green. When the round is over, it’s easy to edit those shots to “chips” from putts. My handicap has dropped from 10 to 6 using the app and sensors. You learn a LOT about your game by studying tendencies. That’s the best part of the stats within the app. In the future, I’d like to see the app be a little more fun and interactive like the 18 Birdies app for example. It would also be useful for equipment manufacturers if I could enter the brand and model of my non-Cobra clubs. I also think being able to enter what golf ball brand and style golfers use for a round or particular hole would offer incredible insight. Right now, I keep that data on paper to compare one ball to another. Bottom line: Super Cool app with a bright future. Thank You Cobra for including the sensors for free with my new irons and driver.

As an engineering data geek, this app is amazing! So much data to process during/after the round. Can’t wait to get back out to the course! Tip - Make sure to have all your clubs synced (especially the putter) and it will be a worthwhile effort for you to analyze your game.

After four uses it finally captured all of my strokes correctly after a July 2018 app update and/or moving my phone to my right front pocket. I’m left handed, and having my phone in my left pocket missed 20-50% of my swings.
