Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • Great app, but please keep the play all function in review

    By Lover of foreign literature
Love this app. The play all feature in vocab is very important, so I hope they keep it.
  • Best Way to Learn

    By SensualErotiq
Babbel is 10x better than DuoLingo. Babbel gives you the full verb to the words and gives great tips for note taking so you won’t forget certain things! It’s just like an actual TEACHER is teaching me! I love it
  • The way I remember

    By Viper430
If there is a way you can return to the same word over and over again
  • I recommend Babbel

    By InventedArab
I tried the Rosetta Stone before but Babbel is more Superior to it. I highly recommend it if you want to learn a new language without having to attend school. Ok use Spanish for m legal practice because our have many Spanish speaking clients
  • Too much vosotros

    By Carriel313
I didn’t realize during my trial how...prevalent the vosotros verb form is in the program with no way to skip it. I moved to Mexico and I’m only interested in Latin American Spanish. Spain only comprises maybe 3% of the Spanish speaking world, so the tense is completely useless to most SSL learners. As an intermediate speaker, it’s made things more difficult than they should be. Otherwise, i really like the program and it fits my learning style well.
  • Not enough

    By JDLT52109
Is there really just one lesson and then a subscription needed? That’s not enough to know if I want to Subscribe. That feels shady.
  • French

    So far so good
  • Quite good for Dutch

    By logicallyinsane
likes: unlike Duolingo, grammar and vocabulary list that Dutch people actually use. (I take conversation lessons and everything I've double checked with her seems to be accurate and common use.) I like the mix of exercise types, the usage notes, and in general, the app interface dislikes: the pronunciation good but is imperfect, there's waaay too much emphasis on 'n's at the ends of words, which is (as far as I've been taught by multiple sources and nearly two years living in Amsterdam) not standard. They should be (save a few exceptions) barely there, not hard finishes like in German verbs and plurals. In the writing exercises it is not always clear if the stressed or unstressed pronoun is desired and you get it wrong if you use the undesired one—even if the answer is correct. Also goes for vocab reviews where you have several options that all mean the same thing. Also i miss from Duolingo the tolerance for small typos, especially since the app's keyboard can be pretty fussy sometimes. So please fix those! But otherwise quite good
  • When you cancel they still charge you

    By would not use
I canceled my membership in February 2018 and they still charged me in March 2018. I was paying a month to month basis. I would not recommend this product very dishonest.
