Winner of the 2014 Innov8 For health competition, Wholesome is the only experience that collects healthy recipes from the web, allows you to track them, and gives personal recommendations to optimize your nutrition. Wholesome scores recipes out of 10 points on their healthfulness. Points are added for nutrition density and deducted for things like too much sugar or sodium. Scores provide the feedback that allow you to compare recipes and make conscious decisions about what you eat. • Where is the help section?

    By eudyguiehwueifj
I created a recipe but the app won’t let me add it to my eaten today list. I’m sure I missed a step somewhere but there is no tutorial and no help section. The list of recipes is really lacking and I need to be able to add my own. Help! What a waste of $4.
  • which feature is free?

I'm not going to leave a negative rating for an app I wasn't able to try. If it's $3.99 to track nutrients list the app for $3.99.
  • Please fix your great app!

    By Mamatoldme
I love this app and was happy to pay for it! However I just updated it and now it’s not letting me enter food into my daily diary. An error message comes up saying: “Oops...cannot modify user...” Please help as I’ve come to rely on this app for my health. Thanks!!
  • $4 for nothing

    By fcvaulter
$4 would be a great price if it worked. It’s cool that it shows all of the nutrients but they are mostly wrong and when you input your own entry it completely changes what you put in so your entries won’t be accurate.
  • Measurements only in cups?

    By Bjbumblebee
I just got this app and it appears as though food can only be measured in cups. I cannot track food by the tablespoon? Wish I hadn’t wasted the money on this app. To the developers - you need to fix that.
  • Does not work.

    By apps4576
Has not worked at all since downloading. I would like to get a refund. Good idea but worthless app functionality.
  • Benefits outweigh negatives

    By gracemross
This is a great app. The only drawback is that the app counts natural sugars found in fruit as part of your “added sugar” intake. That makes it difficult to track actual added sugar, and makes it look like you consume loads of sugar even if you’re only eat fruit and veggies. But they said they’re working on fixing that, and their customer service is awesome. Once that hiccup is fixed, it’ll get 5 stars!
  • Love it!

    By Sherexus
I’ve fallen for this app. At first, I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a barcode scanner like some others, but it’s worth the occasional manual entry. I’m vegan and this is a fantastic tool to make sure I’m getting everything I need daily, and it’s especially fantastic for whole raw foods. My favorite feature is the “what to eat next” suggestions. My late night snacking now has purpose! It’s clear that this app improves with time and with new contributions. I highly recommend it!!
  • Free app?

    By hdhdhdhss
What’s the point in posting it as a free app if you have to pay for it to do any of the things it advertises?? I don’t mind buying an app but it just is frustrating.
  • Best diet app

    By MariesWings
Being able to make sure my micronutrients are covered is equally important to me as macros. Having the app suggest foods that can fill in the deficiencies is amazing!
