Winner of the 2014 Innov8 For health competition, Wholesome is the only experience that collects healthy recipes from the web, allows you to track them, and gives personal recommendations to optimize your nutrition. Wholesome scores recipes out of 10 points on their healthfulness. Points are added for nutrition density and deducted for things like too much sugar or sodium. Scores provide the feedback that allow you to compare recipes and make conscious decisions about what you eat. • Amazing!!!!!!

Such a great app and super convenient, also very informative!!
  • Awesome

I have been researching foods and diet on an amateur basis for nearly 20 years. I find that this app has incorporated some of the best info simply and efficiently. I thoroughly recommend this app to everyone I know who is interested in taking charge of one of their most valuable assets, Their HEALTH!
  • Incomplete

I just purchased the Pro edition but it still doesn’t have info on best nutrition sources or health benefits when you click on some of the vitamins and minerals.
  • Love tracking Micros but...

    By Yira0667
Great app and it’s not free which surprised me when I realized I could not simply scan foods not in the database. I don’t like entering a food from scratch. Even free food tracking apps have a scanner... that’s all I want :-) thanks.
  • Useful but could be better/lost sign in

I use this to track calories and some specific nutrients. Importing data could be improved including typing data into a computer rather than a handheld device. (Allowing landscape entry would help!) A pantry feature would improve "what to eat next" by using what one has on hand. That could include, as a separate pantry, menus from common restaurants. A pantry could be used to suggest recipes. A planning day(s) would allow some what if scenarios to do longer range "what to eat next". UPDATE For quite some time, I cannot sign in and password recovery is not working. This, all my foods and recipes and data are lost. UPDATE 2 No help from Wholesome and it has been many months. Speaks VERY poorly of the humans behind the app.
  • If Only it Worked Properly

    By loveagoodgirl
This app has THE BEST healthy and FLAVORFUL recipes and most of them are so quick and easy to make.! The only thing that doesn’t work would be, recipes never saving to my favorites.
  • Not What It Advertises

    By holmes_rex
Never synced with Apple HealthKit. Keep having to go into account settings and reconnect, but still never shows nutrients in HealthKit. Disappointed. Not worth the $4 yet
  • Amazing app, but would like to see local storage of data

    By NOStradomuz
Really great app for tracking vitamins and mineral intake. I bought pro. The only problem for me is that it's all online. Would like to see a local data storage option.
  • Vegan

    By Kutebykari
I wish there was a vegan option so the dairy and egg suggestions would not be on my list.
  • Downloaded, super interested, bought pro, never worked.

Disappointed. I got this to try out and when I saw all it claimed to do, I bought the pro version. Upon reopening the app, logging in, and clicking a pro feature, it prompted me to purchase again....very frustrating. I’ve emailed the developer and requested help or a refund and have heard nothing. Account was charged, that I know for a fact.
