  • Don’t use, save yourself time and use a different app like Postmates

    By bri_john33
This is the first time I used the Door Dash app. The order was incomplete (missing 10 of 21 items) and the driver didn’t pick up the salsas we’d asked for — I even tipped him extra to get them. I mentioned that I didn’t think the food he handed me was enough, but he just sped off. Lastly, the refund wasn’t applied to my order; it was given to me as a credit. I am visiting this area and never intend to use the app again. So the ~$65 I am owed I will never get back. Terrible service.
  • Easiest way to ruin dinner

    By cshenley
If your order is messed up, no contact to resolve it same day. Only offers refund or discounts. But by the time you waited an hour for dinner and the order is wrong, that’s inexcusable. Traditional delivery services would fix the problem, door dash doesn’t care to.
  • Tip after delivery

    By tha1likeSkyla
I love the door dash app and mostly have no issues, but why do I have to tip before I know how the service is going to be? I don’t tip when I arrive at a restaurant, so why should I decide how much tip I want to give before my food is delivered?
  • Calculations

By The Squirrel Master - a Jedi
DoorDash collects gratuity percentage based on the order, tax and their 9.9% service fee and delivery fee. Gratuity should be calculated on the order and tax not the fee door dash takes and does not pay to the driver. I am all for heavy tipping on what I order. Not being taxed on a fee too door dash and a delivery fee.
  • Apps ok. Driver not good

I placed an order at 7:48pm. I followed it on the app and It said the order would be here in 2 mins and then changed to 30 mins. Some sort of problem with the app I assume. I messaged the dasher to see what was happening. He called me a few minutes later and told me that he was at the restaurant and they were running behind about 20-25 mins but he’s coming to me next. About 5 minutes later I got a call from a representative at DoorDash stating that the order was canceled because the restaurant was closed. I explained to her the situation and she was no help. She stated she tried to call the restaurant and wasn’t getting an answer. I explained to her that if that’s the case the dasher lied to me about being at the restaurant. This is AWFUL customer service for me and the merchant. This merchant has 4.1 stars on google. It states they are open until 9pm today. If they got my order and made it and the dasher never got it, now they are out money. My order was in with plenty of notice and I get a call a hour after I place my order that it’s canceled? After the dasher previously told me he was at the restaurant? I’ve used your app twice before because I loved the tracking map. With all of the delivery apps there are now in my area the one thing that sets one apart from another is the customer service. And DoorDash did not show me that. Very disappointed.
  • Delivery fee

    By Farzino fabricio
I don’t like that the delivery fee is 5$ and none of it goes to the delivery guy. Don’t be greedy door dash. I try to use grub hub more often when I can
  • Don’t be in a rush to get your food

    By Ash987753
I received a coupon in the mail and decided to check this service out I thought the app was designed beautifully and professionally, so I wasn’t concerned about it’s legitimacy. The app received my order, assigned me a person that would deliver my food, and gave me an eta. That time came and went. I tried texting the driver, no response; tried communicating with the online representatives, no response initially in the chat and then informing me the app was malfunctioning relaying orders. I think the only reason why I ended up getting my food was because I made both parties aware that I hadn’t received it. Then it somehow was a scramble to get me the food. All I received as an apology was a $5 credit on my account... I’ve used Postmates and ubereates and have never had these types of issues... I think I’ll just stay loyal to those companies.
  • Subpar

Poor UI, have had multiple wrong orders where all items were wrong. Customer service lacking.

    By Md713
DD is the worst app to use for food delivery, at least in NYC. There are so many times, as someone who places an order, where they have dropped the ball. From delivering well beyond the expected delivery time, to CONSTANTLY canceling orders. There are a bunch of other food delivery apps that won’t screw you over. LOOK ELSE WHERE!!
  • App doesn’t complete purchase, no way to contact help

    By HOV-TGA3
Was excited to try this service since it’s new in my city (Richmond VA), however I was unable to complete my order after multiple attempts, and had no way to contact anyone for assistance as there is no contact info listed on the app or in the FAQ. Disappointed and deleted
