  • Fatal Flaw in Location Database

    By bengarland
This app has one fatal flaw. When you try to add a location to your calendar event, it uses a totally screwed database from FourSquare. Literally nothing in my US city of over 100,000 people is in this database, not even the chain stores like Walgreens and Home Depot. When I try to add a location and start typing in the name of a local business, it will auto fill it with something in another state or another country around the world that is not even related (so if I search for “Home Depot” it might fill it in with “201 Depot Dr, Hiram, GA” even though I am searching from Minnesota — and yes, I have Location turned on) . When I do the same thing in Google Calendar it finds the location right away every time (“Home Depot, 1101 Mall Dr, Duluth, MN”). I don’t understand why Calendars 5 is using such an incomplete and outdated database. Does FourSquare even still exist? Why would they not use Google? Because of this, I use Calendars 5 only for viewing my calendar. If I need to enter a location, I do it in Google Calendar. Usually Readdle makes great apps, so I’m confused why they dropped the ball on event locations in their Calendar app.
  • No Joy

The custom reminder feature has been broken for YEARS. I had hopes, high ones, that someone in development would take the initiative to fix this ongoing bug with the release of iOS 11, but on it goes. Another smokescreen update of “bug fixes and improvements” with the latest release. I’m a Readdle fan, but they’ve pushed me off their calendar app with broken features and lack of development, and I’ve started testing another email app before the same happens to Spark. Disappointed with the blasé approach to improving this app and fixing broken features.

  • Great app but...

    By YBird8
I wasn't planning on purchasing this app but it came with the bundle, so I tried it. Love how it seemlessly integrates with iPhone calendar app. It also combines the reminders into the calendar so I can see my task list whenever I access the calendar. So far, the only things I am wishing for are an easier search access -I can only search under list view; and I wish today's date would display on the app icon - something the iPhone calendar does. I frequently click on my phone to check the date but I cannot see the date unless I load Calendars5 first. For me, seeing the date is more important than the search ease. I hope in the future that will be included in an update!
  • Meh

Constantly futzing with time and date. Somehow always sets it wrong. Possibly I'm not using it properly but it isn't intuitive.

  • Best calendar out there

It uses my iCloud calendars flawlessly. Including shared! The UI is absolutely stunning and makes quick views possible. And of course the original Apple iOS calendar still works, too.

I was looking for something color coded and with a quick "easy read" this calendar is great! Organizes all of my training dates easily!
  • Poor support

    By Teople Poo
They changed the layout. Screwed everything up for me. I reached out to them numerous times and their only reply was "We are aware." All my emails asking if it would be fixed have been ignored ( more than 5 times). I would not give this company any more of my money.
  • Best Calendar Ever

    By Zzazzle
I LOVE this calendar app. I've been using it for several years and it keeps getting better. Definitely my fave so far, and way better than iCal IMO. (Thank goodness it syncs with iCal!) That being said, if anyone prefers a different calendar app please tell us the name and what you like about it so we can all benefit from your research and experience. It's frustrating to read a review saying another app is so much better without mentioning its name.
