  • Non-refundable trial- beware

    By Texts like crazy
I was trying noom during the 7 day free trial to see if it was for me. Around day 5 I realized that while it was a well put together service, it was not something I wanted to pay 45$ a month for. At that point the instructions on how to cancel the subscription before your trial is up is to contact your “Goal Specialist” or whoever it is, who is basically your primary point of contact in the app. I contact them on day 5 to let them know that did not want to renew the subscription. Day 5, 6, and 7 go by without any word from this person and I was not too phased because I had stopped using the app entirely. On day 7 I was charged for the subscription, getting suspicious. Day 8 I hear from my specialist that if I want to cancel I need to do it through the iCloud interface since I bought it on the app store. Simple enough! Should have been literally the first thing under “How to cancel”!!! So I tell them I was already charged but figured I should be refunded because I submitted a formal cancellation to them. No dice. I need to submit it (a refund request) through Apple, who reject the request immediately. SO Im stuck paying nearly $50 for a service I doing want, ALL of the customer support is copying and pasting a check list to me explaining how I need to cancel on iCloud and request a refund from Apple, and it seems like that is worth a 1 star review. If this is your jam and it works, great, customer service wise and someone who may be just trying it out, stay far away.

Info is wrong for many popular items. Enter info, but not clear if or how it’s used. Bar scanner does not have many popular foods
  • Program works

I have been on the Noom Program for 10 weeks now. I have lost approximately 25pounds. I have had slips but the program teaches you how to deal with these. I highly recommend this program for anyone who wants to loose weight, are willing to put in the effort, and wants to keep the weight off for life!
  • What happened?

    By RosiE23654
I’ve already deleted and reinstalled Noom once. My frequently eaten meals are not showing up any more, I’m not getting reminders to log and, the things I log are not showing up in my food journal
  • Finally an answer!

    By AviX
I’ve struggled for over a decade to lose menopause weight. So frustrating! Between the app and my awesome Coach, I’m finally seeing the results I want. Taking a star off for the latest update causing me to wait while search is loaded for every meal. Sometimes it’s seconds, sometimes it’s minutes, always it’s annoying. Please fix!
  • LOVE the program, app needs work

    By Nicknames r awl taken
Update: Previous review from a couple months or so ago. update to app has me waiting for food database Search to load. Time waster. Fix ASAP, pls. Lost a star because of it. And still need to fix a lot of the issues I mentioned in the full review below. Love, love the program. Very realistic, no foods off limits, just healthy moderation indeed good lifestyle choices. Great Goals specialist and Group coach, and love the group support portion. Daily articles/activities are quick, easy and funny in a nerdy way. But excellent to learn all the science and psychology behind why we eat the way we eat and how to overcome our struggles. Lost 25 lbs so far and it’s been pretty easy! I highly recommend the program! The app, though, needs work. Developers, pls fix ASAP!: many times when I scan foods, the calories come up incorrect...even off by 40 calories on some items. Most only off by 5-10, though. But that is still too much and happens far too often. I have to go off of what’s on the label instead which wastes time. And then I don’t know if I can trust the calories when I type something in... Don’t understand that. You need more portion options for EVERY food. Sometimes I only have 1/3 cup or 1/3 if something and there is no option for that. Instead of that sliding version you have, you should make the number the scrolling list of numbers you see on most apps or like changing the timer on an iPhone. That will give more precise control of quantities. I’ve had a few times where I’ve scanned something and it’s come up with a totally different unrelated food. You need to fix that. Scan mechanism needs to be made available from home page so we can quickly scan an item to see if we want to buy/eat it instead of having to go into log your meal, then choose the meal. Logging food into ANY meal should be available straight from the scan option. Search bar for a food should be available on home page so we can search for something from there and log directly into a meal. It’s just tedious the way it’s currently set up. Foods eaten throughout the day need to be listed in their entirety from one click on “log your meals”. That way we don’t have to click on each and every meal to see again what/how much we are. Very important feature for anyone who has to track food for dietary/health reasons. I realize it shows all the food in the colorful analysis, but it doesn’t show how much and what meals. (Think: click on log meals, and it shows a heading that you can expand/collapse for each meal/snack. There you choose your meal and add food. Soooo much easier and convenient to look back through your foods) Scan feature also needs to be available from there rather than going into each meal as it currently is. Please just make it a little more user friendly-organized. Please also add way to review app or contact you directly from the help settings. If it’s there, I guess I missed it. But mainly fix the above problems. All that said, l love the program and these issues haven’t deterred me from loosing weight and getting healthier! Still highly recommend the program.
  • Effective support, education and accountability

Been doing Noom for a month. Have learned a LOT about how to eat and what influences what we eat + how to control those influences—and i have gently increased my activity level. The result? I have steadily lost 5 lbs. That may not sound impressive but I am a 57 year old woman, so it is. I’m waiting to see if I will be able to get past my usual sticking weight of ~149 lbs. I believe I will. Stay tuned.
  • Not Really a Fitness Coach

    By clgraph
When I signed up for Noom, which is fairly expensive, I was promised a “coach”. When I asked to set up meetings, I was told that we would only correspond via messaging on the app on M-F. When I reached out for advice, I was just sent a link to an article within the Noom app. That’s not really coaching. The articles I did read were helpful, but there were so many and it was difficult to determine how to start and what to do. When I reached out saying I was overwhelmed with the articles sent and wanted advice for how to start, I was just sent another article. To me, that’s not coaching. I’m really disappointed because I was looking forward to having someone help me, but this wasn’t it. I fully regret joining.
  • I’m stuck

I’d enjoy it more if I were losing weight. Four days stuck on EXACTLY the same number, down to the .2 of a pound...
  • Great but room for improvement

    By Michelle13215322
I’ve been using Noom for 12 weeks and counting. I think my support group is much too large and it makes it difficult to remember people and make true connections for support. I’ve noticed a TON of spelling and grammar mistakes in the daily articles that Noom offers me. It makes Noom seem unprofessional. The food logging portion of the app is not always accurate. When you scan barcodes you might get the wrong food or calorie amount. I sometimes use MyFitnessPal alongside Noom to get an accurate calorie count and as far as I can tell, there is no way to sync the two together. All in all, I’m happy with Noom because I’m getting results! I’ve lost 27 pounds in four month and I know I’m going to lose more with this program. Im very excited!
