  • Does what it's supposed to do and then some

Easy to set up and (mostly) easy to use. Would give 4.5 stars if I could, subtracting .5 for some minor navigation and video playback clumsiness but overall a very powerful companion to the desktop app. I have 8 cams and counting and the whole system is holding up well.

I've been using Blue Iris software and phone app for over a year. Not only does it just work, it is updated regularly. It runs 24X7 on my older PC and I check it several times a day from my phone, and it has never failed. It may be a little complicated to setup, but well worth it. I currently run 3 Different brands of PTZ cameras and have no problems controlling them from the app.

This BlueIris app in currently the best available cam monitoring app on the market. I only want their tech support team to know however that this app is only as good as the support behind it. Support takes forever to respond issues. I feel for those who complained about poor support service because I can attest to their experience. Thank GOD I have sufficient computer and software knowledge to navigate my way and solve my issues myself.

This app gets down to the brass tax. No fluff, no deep diving menus, just simple, easy navigation. Plus, everything is very responsive and the app has never crashed on me. The devs put in some quality code for this app.

This app is awesome. Works perfectly on all my iOS devices. It would be greatly appreciated if you could add the ability to cycle cameras for different camera groups. It only works under group +All cameras.

Crashes the server. I just use Blue Iris Lite Client as it doesn't crash the server.
  • You need an IT guy to set this app

Save your money this app is not easy to set if you are not really good with computers. The apps should be easy to use. The support team is rude or will not cooperate.
  • Great companion to the desktop app

When looking for a good home security app, a big piece of it was the mobile app. Blue iris in the desktop is fantastic and the mobile app follows suit. There are a few small things I wish we could get, but even without those features this app rocks. The saving video to your phone and mobile geofence to change profiles are great features!

Does everything I'd ever want from a CCTV package. The mobile app is better than any other I've seen, push alerts work great, no problems at all. My only complaint would be to have a Linux or OS X version for the server side. On the server side I run mine as a virtual machine on top of an unraid san server.
