3D Yoga Anatomy is a tool for students and teachers that ventures beyond the basic shapes of the poses, illustrating the effective forces that bring these poses to life. Features: • 40 essential poses with variations (limited access in the free version) • 360º view of all poses! • Instructions for entering and deepening the poses • Illustrations of muscle actions • "Full 3D" feature allows 3D viewing of all 40 poses. "Full 3D" is available as an in-app purchase. NOTE: free version has limited content. You may access all the content by purchasing the full version. Some of the concepts discussed include: “Foundation”, “How long to stay in Asanas?”, “Flexibility vs. Range of Motion”, “Synergy”, as well as “Safety” and much more. A dedicated section of the app deals with deep muscles such as the Iliopsoas and the Rhomboids.

  • Constantly crashes

I just downloaded this app to test it before buying the full version and it crashes every time I tap on a pose; it’s not even usable. And when I went to “App Support” on the website to ask for help, it directs me to realtor.com...?

  • It’s okay but after awhile not worth the space

    By Broken eyes
I’ve had this app for a number of years but in that time I have yet to see new poses to be added, or a simple chart that explains the color coding as to which muscle groups are being activated. If your new to Yoga and or undergoing teacher training for the my physical aspect of yoga this is a nice supplement to have but after awhile you’ll end up deleting it from your device. If the developer focused on more poses, such as foundation or basic poses so say teachers could extrapolate what muscles are being activated in the more complex poses (really having scorpion in the app is rather pointless) rather than making 360 models that really don’t explain anything I’d hold onto it but the lack of actual content updates just makes what could otherwise have been a good reference app a temporary tool for beginners.

  • Unusable

Website for support doesn’t work! Developer site is also useless. Worked fine before upgrading, now the app crashes constantly. Too expensive with zero support for customers.
  • Purchased upgrade and never registered. Payment did though
