  • Innovative & precise new concept

    By ValCookie
Great collection of interesting titles that transport you to different scenarios of knowledge. Loving the options of reading and listening — both very inclusive. This new concept allows the reader (or listener) to have access to a myriad of topics, bringing a fresh insight of the core of each book. Loved it!
  • Good idea. Need some work.

My biggest complaint is that the player is very quirky for the audio files. It often skips chapters or repeats chapters or just stops playing. This can be a hassle when you were driving to work and have to keep messing with the player. Kind of defeats the purpose. There are a variety of readers, and they are OK, but seem to put strange inflections in the middle of their sentences where it sounds like they don't understand what they are reading. Overall, it is a good idea and has helped me get a really good introduction to a variety of books and pick some for purchasing to read the entire thing.
  • Nice concept, good execution, couple cons

I've been using the free version for quite a while and jumped to the year subscription with no regrets. Bear in mind that regardless of the depth of any given book, blinks and summaries will be more or less the same extension. This has pros and cons; the best part is that you can inject summaries blazing fast (I'm reading 15-20 summaries a day) and they give you a quite good insight on the book's objectives and content. The downside, as some other reviewers mention it, is that denser books don't benefit from the ultra-summary model. But... rest assured the blinks are useful enough to know if any given book is worth a complete read. tl;dr great for getting wet in ideas and choosing which books to read front to back. Cons: some summaries trade depth for shortness.
  • Great idea but a few rough edges

Good idea and the blinks are good but app is buggy sometimes. I can't listen to a full set of blinks without it stopping if not stored locally. Seems to be fine if I download locally though.
  • Wow. Very cool.

If you're like me, you have 15 books on your nightstand...all of which have 15 book marks interspersed different pages in each book. Having the time and attention span to complete books have consistently been an issue for me. Blinkist allows me to stay informed and receive the information at a lightening fast pace.
  • It's okay....

Content is not deep enough. Points are missed and is way too expensive. Way too expensive. Not enough books either.
  • Excellent!!

  • Excellent

I'm so busy that I can't read books or listen to audiobooks. I enjoy listening to a selection first thing in the morning while getting ready for work and on my short drive. Excellent choice for those who enjoy cliff notes of excellent books.
  • Very few classics.

Good way to get a glimpse of the content of the books. I usually read the full copy if I get interested. Looked up their list of classic reads and there are only 4. !
  • Wonderful!
