  • Entertaining at the beginning, but frustrating at higher level

This game had an impelling mechanic with it when it first came out. I have been playing for about 2 years and the card-based game that requires you to solve a puzzle-type board in order to command them to attack will have you absorbed for many hours(With breaks due to a stamina gauge). However, I can tell Gung-ho is really running out of ideas and can’t bring the game back to its peak it once was at. Around the rank of 100+, you’ll find out that not even the best monsters you acquired will beat the appropriate dungeons at your level. It gets infuriating with the enemies that will ignore top damage, absorb certain element, cuts damage and so on. I have also notice the amount of monster and evolution release has been declining. This is a major problem since it is one of the main reason of what makes this game fun. Case in point, higher level gaming will be met with absurdity and general frustration that would lead you in either persevere or give up entirely. I acknowledge that there are also other people who believes this game has a high skill ceiling and requires dedication in order to have bring out the game’s fullest entertainment potential. Nevertheless, there is no real reason to force players to grind their mechanical skill max in order to have fun. Instead, Gung-Ho needs to add new mechanics, new monsters, and halt on the ridiculous, unbeatable enemies that will always leave you dumbfounded. I would give this game a 2.5/5 instead of a 2/5 since it is a bit exaggerated, but this game does have problems that negates the fun it is suppose to bring.
  • I’m a whale with regrets and I can’t blame the game.

To be honest I have spent far more money on this game than any sane person who doesn’t make a living playing the game should spend. I justified it to myself over the 5 years of playing by amount vs time as entertainment budget. That worked for the first two thousand dollars, but now that I am more serious about my finances and am looking to the future I am left with some strong regrets. My friends who initially brought me into the game all quit because of ‘power creep’. Which to be fair to them is a real thing. The power did significantly drift over the 5 years this game has been going for. That being said. The consistent release of new and exciting content has kept me coming back and lying to myself about purchase limits. I agree with those that say this game is not designed for the casual players. I am near rank 500, and I still have consistent trouble with end game content. My extreme spending on the game has however boosted my position within the meta to allow me to participate in the content even if my skills are lagging behind slightly. Overall I still have fun with only a few of my ‘best friends’ still playing. The art style and game mechanics are a solid base, and while the power does creep, they are consistently offering new evolutions to the old cards allowing your cards/purchases to be useful through the entire game. I have spent 2k+$ on this game, and while I regret how MUCH I’ve spent, I do not regret what I have received and the good times that I’ve had.

  • Very good game

This game takes a lot of time but I'm at rank 300 and I haven't spent any money. There will be some points where you get stuck at dungeons, and it will take a lot of time to beat those dungeons, but you can get very far without spending any money if you want to. (Many of the complaints seem about money and the difficulty)
  • Eh

Despite people saying there is a high learning curve.. there's not. You may as well get out your wallets cause if you want to beat any of the actually hard dungeons you need stones cause no monster or team can mess with stupid no RCV dungeons that are broken. I hate Gungho for making this game pay to win just like every other video game in modern day gaming..

  • Please fix

    By Kionono
It has come to my attention that I have lost a very high leveled account. Two in fact. And the “restore” or the account change is very insufficient. So please make it so that it uploads to the cloud or make it so that the account saves on Facebook. Where you log in. This would be more convenient than having to get the account code and verification. What if you lost or broke the device that had all the data? How would you get the information and the account back? Hopefully you see the problem. Please fix this so that people, ( I know I’m not the only one who lost their account like this,) can get back to the game.
  • Play it in the waiting room

It’s addicting. It’s worse than crack. The early game is simple enough to farm up stones for rolling new monsters. Mid to early late game can be accomplished by most decent gold eggs from stones in the early game content. End game content requires either MP purchased monsters or rolling certain rainbow eggs. Gold eggs are hard enough to get out of the rare egg machine. Most gold eggs are not ideal for late game content. Rainbow eggs are extremely rare, and not all of them can clear end game content. The odds for rolling an end game monster is extremely low. The other option is buying one, or multiples if required, with MP. MP can be obtained by selling monsters or playing multiplayer. Some monsters are worth more than others. The trash you rolled out of them egg machine will be worth more than what is dropped in dungeons. There is a method to farm an average of 100k MP a month, but that requires a heavy investment to maintain. Taking full advantage of stamina replenishes throughout the day, a partner willing to play regularly throughout the day, an already acquired team that can clear early late game content, and the same dungeon clear over and over. Most people sell the silver and useless gold/rainbow eggs in their box. The cost far exceeds the profit in either case. By the time you farm up enough MP and work on the monster to clear end game content, new content is released and your monster is rendered obsolete. Or you sell your box for one monster that becomes underpowered. In short, it’s fun to just puzzle around when you’re waiting in line. If you’re looking to spend money on some sort of thrill, play the lottery. It’s a better investment with better odds.
