TOUR GUIDE AS YOU DRIVE THE CANADIAN ROCKIES If you like driving yourself when you go sightseeing, GyPSy Guide™ tour apps allow you to enjoy a guided tour experience while remaining totally independent. By driving yourself, you'll be able to get from place to place faster, see more things and not be tied to anyone else's schedule DON'T MISS OUT ON THE BEST SIGHTS AND STORIES The tour apps use your device’s location abilities to play the commentary AUTOMATICALLY. All you have to do is drive, listen and decide which places you want to stop at. Our tour guides have created insightful and entertaining tours of the Rockies. We’ll recommend the best places to see and some great locations that most visitors don't get to experience. PLAYS AUTOMATICALLY GyPSy Guide knows where you are and which direction you are heading, and plays commentary automatically about the things you are seeing, plus stories and tips and advice. EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide. GREAT VALUE The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule. WORKS OFFLINE No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Download over Wi-Fi before you tour. Anyone can use them with no need for roaming data – even visiting from another country. DRIVING TOUR ROUTE The tour includes the most popular sightseeing stops and many more: 1) Johnston Canyon 2) Lake Louise 3) Moraine Lake 4) Spiral Tunnels 5) Emerald Lake 6) Natural Bridge 7) Takakkaw Falls You can start this tour by driving from Banff, anywhere in Lake Louise or even if you are approaching from the west in Field, BC. Commentary runs in both directions everywhere on the route. CANADIAN ROCKIES APP BUNDLE This tour is a part of a set of tour apps by GyPSy Guide to explore the Canadian Rockies National Parks. Other tours in the series include: * Banff Townsite Tour * The Icefields Parkway * Jasper National Park * And Calgary to Banff (Free) NOTES Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network. ++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle. ** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine. ABOUT US GyPSy Guide™ produce award winning audio tours along scenic drives around the world. Enjoyed by travelers who prefer to set their own pace and itinerary on vacation, but enjoy a fun, informative and educational guided experience. Our goal is to provide a great introduction to the region and perhaps inspire you to learn more and return. None of our apps include paid advertising or placements for benefit.

  • We were amazed

At how good this little app is. It works, no tech or Bluetooth connection issues. We learned about the drive from Banff to Lake Louise via the scenic Bow Valley Parkway and saw way more in a day than we would have otherwise. His suggestions really helped us find the roads less travelled (take his advice re walking around Lake Louise). I really appreciated as our navigator that I could listen and enjoy the scenery rather than spending the day with my nose in my phone. We will definitely buy his other apps! FYI this tour is a full day for sure. We started out about 1030a, finished the sightseeing right after sunset at about 8p and returned to the hotel in Banff happy and tired at about 9p and we had to skip Moraine Lake (we'll take the rest of our tour today). To do it all in a day, leave Banff about 12h before sun down and enjoy!
  • Wonderful Tour

We purchased several Gypsy tours on our trip through the Canadian Rockies and Glacier NP. Loved the tours. It was like having our own tour guide. GPS queuing worked great with appropriate commentary just at the time. Enjoyed the app.
  • Great app

Wish it included bow valley parkway but very informative
  • Fantastic and useful!

I loved this tour! The narrator was so personable and informative. His directions were spot on and I felt totally comfortable following his directions instead of a gps. The tour itself was great, too. I would never have visited Yakakkaw Falls otherwise and I'm so glad I did.
  • Banff to Lake Louise & Yoho National Park

Best purchase while in Banff. App performed flawlessly. Tour narrator was so good that even after the tour ended, we miss his narrative. He is THAT good!
  • Superb guide - get it before you go

What a lovely app - greatly enhanced our trip. I have decided to use their apps for other destinations whenever available. Thanks so much.

  • Excellent

We used these gypsy apps in Hawaii a couple of months ago, and got them for Banff and Yoho national parks last week. Great app for people who don't want to miss any 'must see' points, love learning about the places they visit, but don't have a lot of time to research them. :) Just FYI: If you travel in winter, some of the sights will not be accessible.
  • Jasper Park

    By 12jz
Made the drive through Jasper so much more informative and fun. There were a few times it did not auto start but that was OK as I was a passenger and could just hit the play button. I was disappointed that I did not download some of the others when I had good WiFi as being in Canada I did not want to use my cellular data as it would have been very expensive!
  • Excellent part of the four-pack

Used 8 gypsy apps for Canada. Did a tour of Yoho National Park based upon the reliability and information found in the other apps. So glad we did, turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Highhly recommend Yoho and this app's personal commentary.
