  • We want MORE! Update for Toddler

    By Cbooch89
This app is so useful! It’s nice to look on here and see “oh my LO is out of sorts because she’s growing”. It really gives everyone in the household an extra measure of patience and grace when we know she’s not at her best. Now with that said, PLEASE extend it into the toddler years! We’re blessed that our daughter talks fairy well for an 18month old, but that doesn’t mean she can tell us that she’s uncomfortable and needs extra lovings. I think extending the app to an advance talking age will help others and myself have more patience during “terrific twos” 😉 and “threeagers” 😆. Thank you for providing this peace of mind! I hope we can see an update soon!
  • Waste of money

Do yourself a favor and just Google developmental milestones for free instead of paying for this app. It’s redundant and not helpful at all
  • Not working properly

Desperate to learn more about the leaps I paid for this and now I’m disappointed. The app says the leaps can be up to two weeks from the prediction, but there is no way to indicate that your baby is leaping even a day earlier. Instead the condescending app says “you haven’t taken this leap yet”. Well… your FAQ and my fussy baby says otherwise. Save your 4.99 for a coffee - money better spent.
  • Dread your baby w this app

It might be interesting, but this was a waste of money and a bad inclusion in our lives. Patenting becomes “making it” through leaps and then reminding yourself to enjoy the days they aren’t in a leap. It’s not human to enjoy every moment as a parent. Do what you can, survive, enjoy, have fun, and sometimes it’s harder than other times. Do not recommend this app. You are doing your best already.
  • Innacurate developmental information

Okay so, The Wonder Weeks seems great in theory, but it just isn’t. My baby has not followed any of the leaps and we are about to enter “Leap 5.” In reading about leap 5, the examples and skills are way off. For instance, it says “sit in the middle of the floor and let your baby crawl to you.” What?? A 5 month old can’t crawl yet! It also says “say “do you want a sandwich?” When you put her plate in front of her.” Again, I am not putting a plate with a sandwich in front of my 5 month old. There are more things that I don’t agree with in this app, those are just a few examples. Not worth the money!!
  • Generic and wildly inaccurate info.

It’s not an expensive app so I guess if it makes you feel better when your baby is fussy and you want a ‘reason’ then go for it. But if you TRULY want to understand your baby and teach them based on where they are at developmentally this ISNT the resource for that. I haven’t found it to really be worth the money. Seems like according to the app your child is almost always in a leap with maybe a week or two break in between. The milestones and what your baby might be able to do are definitely not accurate amd often not even developmentally age appropriate. For my 5 month old, his current leap says he may CRAWL after a parent. Uh, what? I thought this was based on research, what 5 month olds are crawling? The ‘activities’ to do with your baby to help during the leap are super basic things that you are probably going to do anyway.
  • Meh

I haven’t found this app very useful. Benchmarks are redundant and the interface is not straightforward. It’s not a bad app but I haven’t learned anything and honestly I haven’t found the benchmarks to be accurate for the ages often. Are a lot of 13 month olds completing jigsaw puzzles? I just haven’t seen the milestones listed correspond accurately w development in my child or within her peer group so Ive stopped using it.

When you feel at a loss with your baby, consult this app, and it usually coincides with what you are experiencing.
  • Fun to follow along!

Love this app and the wide range of time of the Leaps and also how they’re very conscious that not all kids may make all these same exact strides at the exact time. I enjoy it to just see where my baby is going next and view the information as a guide knowing good and well I am going to do what’s best for my baby day to day. Once in a while I like to check the app to see how far she’s come or look at a list of possible milestones so I can praise her accomplishments as they happen!
