  • Love OnSong

A friend recommended OnSong. It has been a tremendous help to my gigs. It’s the best.
  • Has worked great for several years

I’ve had the app on an iPad Air, iPad 2 and my iPhone for about three years. It has been incredible for ease of use, storage of my music and learning new songs. I don’t use any add-ons, just the basic app. I eventually deleted the app from my phone, my iPhone 5 is too small to be functional. I don’t use the iPad 2 much any longer because most things run slow on it and it freezes a lot. However, OnSong seems to still work OK on it. I have never “beamed” or used a foot pedal or other add-on with the app. Since I don’t use any add-Ons I can’t say how it would function with them. Maybe these are the foundation for the negative reviews. Using the basic app has been great. I paid $19.99 for it and would gladly pay $25 for it today. I kept my three ring binder as a back up for three years and have never used it since getting the app. It did take a while to clean up my songs, especially those I had in PDF. But I have over time simply imported most of the songs which, I had in PDF format from one of the many tab sites such as Ultimate Guitar and reworked them to my liking in OnSong. Almost everyone I play music with that has an iPad has purchased the app. Those I play with that have android devices are bummed they can’t use the app. If you want to replace your paper binder and quickly and easily import and edit songs to a library where you can simply transpose keys and share sheet music via email, text, etc., then I highly recommend this app. Do yourself a favor and purchase it. You’ll wish you had done so sooner.
  • The power of Onsong

We love Onsong. The Other band members I show it to can’t believe the power of this software, and, at an incredible value.
  • Wow!

At 71 I tend to be a slow learner with computer related things. An hour after I downloaded the ONSONG app I was able to find music, hi light chords, change keys, erase unwanted text and so on with the 120 songs I installed. Now I have hundreds of tunes in the app. And sticky notes anywhere I need them. I could go on but I am sure you get the point.... works like the ONSONG folks said it would. I emailed ONSONG with a few questions prior to purchasing, in a few hours I had 4 emails answering my questions. Service BEFORE I was a customer!
  • Memory aid or crutch?

I do love this app. My brother & I use it making music at home. It’s easy to make corrections, import, Dropbox, beats the stuffings out of the old loose leaf. The only downside is my dependency on it. I used to just learn a song and sing it. Onsong does make coordinating with my brother on arrangement much easier.

I feel like I was robbed of $25. I keep going around in circles to find the songs I already preloaded and they have disappeared. This is the worst app I have ever used and I absolutely want my money back! The more I use this app, the angrier I’m becoming. You should be embarrassed of what you’ve created.

So far can't figure how to load library.
  • Most features are additional purchases.

    By Cbuck78
Pretty much everything that sets this app apart from the free and/or less expensive apps ends up requiring an extra purchase. Not cool. The website conveniently doesn't mention which features are an additional cost on its features page. I will be betting a refund of my $30 entrance fee, and continuing my research.

  • Don’t buy

This app is sooo difficult I did 3 hours of work. It froze then backed up an empty OnSong. I paid 19.99 and can’t believe how complicated it is, problem is it claims to does exactly what I want it to do. It just Willy nilly deletes everything in there for no reason
