  • Clumsy interface, insufficient data, no comparison tools

    By Delta-flyer
The purpose of an app like this is not just to browse through it, but rather to be able to compare data amongst countries; however the interface will only let you see one country at a time, and you really need a notepad to make comparisons. There needs to be comparison tools and chart making tools. Come-on, The Economist, you’re great at making charts, what happened here? My other beef is that there needs to be additional data in the Economy section, including median household income (GDP per capita is not that useful) and maybe even the GINI coefficient.
  • Too many nonsensical Zeros

    Please shape up your act
  • Paid for it but cannot use subscription

    By Reviewerxx
What is going on?? I paid for the subscription but the app will not let me access the unlocked content. I don’t even know what is the recourse for this. Be angry that The Economist just stole a cup of coffee from me? I cannot recommend this app unlike you enjoy getting ripped off.
  • missing data

    By withrespectto
    e.g., <> has mostly zeros.
  • it's hard to imagine this is REALLY the Economist

    By Joe New York
typos, grammatical errors, even non-sentences. this thing is an embarrassment
  • Won't update

    By LessMSios
When there is a data update you can't select to download because the main screen now blocks the alert panel and the notification is forever displayed.
  • Ripoff

    By FloridaBoi
I paid for the premium upgrade, but the app won't let me access them. It just keeps asking if I want to upgrade. They have my money. I got zip. DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS PIECE OF CRAP.
  • Buggy and Incomplete

    By ChanceVau
I updated to premium but the app doesn't seem to have set that as it shows no subscription. Apple knows, but the Economist doesn't seem to. Doesn't show full rankings. Not as useful as it could be. This app isn't up to the usually high standards of The Economist. A fix is needed soon and better testing next time.
  • bad version

    By Tokugawa Ieasu
Don't download this version. If you have already installed a previous version, DO NOT UPDATE or you will lose off line connectivity and contribute your privacy to their data collection. This new version wants your email address and/or facebook account to activate. I don't want a stupid facebook account, nor do I want to give them an email address so they can spam me with krap. Removed it from my iPad and wish I could get the old version back, even if the data was a little out of date.
  • Does not work

    By Zegoytg
This app opens and then starts to shake. It just does not work on an iPad retina perhaps they will fix it one day.
