  • Results of my headspace experiment

    Problem: Dehydration due to excessive heat can cause very painful constipation. The remedy for this is a enema. This is problematic because you must hold it in while lying on the bathroom floor for around 10 minutes. How do we make this 10 minutes easier? If the 10 minutes were a little more pleasant then the solution would stay in the rectum longer making the enema more effective. Hypothesis: Meditation can help during those 10 minutes. Focusing on breathing and the headspace dudes voice can make enemas more effective. Experiment tools: iPhone, enema, floor, toilet Results: NOPE NOPE and NOPE! Relaxing your bowels and focusing on breathing is the worst possible thing you can do while lying on the floor with an enema in your butt. Bad idea - doesn't work. Don't do it. Other than that - this app is awesome. Do it daily but not when you are using an enema.

    I’ve never meditated before and honestly thought it would be a little weird. But I’m always fine with trying something new so I went for it after seeing an add. And it is amazing!! After every session I feel so much better, even on good days when I meditate, no matter my mood I come out feeling ten times better!

    I’ve been diagnosed with severe anxiety, and, without realizing until late, I lived in it for almost my entire life. I’m 32. Headspace has helped ease my anxiety and much much more in a very real way since I have started meditating around 6 months ago. I am truly grateful for the thoughtfulness, the approach to mindfulness, and the guided meditations within this app. I honestly did not think I would be this satisfied with meditation in general, but it’s now a part of my daily “treat ya-self” routine. :) Cheers for making a great service for anyone!

    First off, I downloaded the app, because I saw an interesting ad on YouTube, which instantly called my attention. Not because it was about meditation, but because of the way it influenced the audience. The soothing voice and the cartoonish way the ad was made, really caught my attention. I didn’t download it at the moment, but after a couple of days, I decided to update my apps, and remembered the ad. After downloading it, I was still uninterested, really, on meditation, but gave it a shot. Thank God I did! This app really is amazing, the soothing voice helped me relax and enjoy the few minutes I have to myself. Also, it helps me focus on certain tasks and it is amazing. Honestly, I’m not surprised that it has such a high rating: 4.9, what does surprise me though, is that it doesn’t have 5.0 in ratings. Still, this app didn’t really mean anything to me, but now it has become one of my most used apps, DOWNLOAD IT, IT’S TOTALLY WORTH IT!
  • Dark mode and Landscape support on iPad?

    Why is there no landscape support for iPads? There are over 500 million iPads that are primarily used in landscape mode. Where is dark mode? Many of us that meditate have trouble with light (from migraines) or just find dark backgrounds more relaxing. Do you want to be a first class meditation app or just another website? #Fail #ShowUpOrGiveUp
