    I used to wander aimlessly in the gym not really knowing what to do. Then I discovered the 5x5 routine, then Strong Lifts. The app is really well put together, easy to use, and helps keep me disciplined. I’ve still got a long road before I reach my goal, but I’m glad I have this app to help me along the way.

    I've tried quite a few workout apps before with little success. What I have found with 5x5 Stronglifts is that it easily fits into my schedule. Three workouts per week, 30 to 45 minutes per workout. Each workout is just a little harder than the last. The first week, my legs were toast because of the squats. But the second week was so much better even though I'm squatting more weight. Anyways, I really like this. It is easy. It is simple. It is effective.

    Very helpful guide. I wish there were in-app tutorials that could be brought up when the workouts were tapped on.
  • Great app for novice lifters

    I used this app to go from a bare bar to intermediate lifter in a year. Novices should buy the pro version because it calculates all of your warmup weights in an intelligent way. For instance if you are squatting 200 lbs it tells you to start with a bare bar, then 25 each side, 45 each side, etc instead of just using a fraction of the total weight which would have you wasting time juggling plates. I’m sure more experienced people already know how to warm up but for a novice this was very helpful.

    I use to love this app because of the convenience, but for some reason the app is freezing and crashing every 10 mins. It gets really frustrating when you’re trying to get a set in and then the app crashes and you try to log in your workout. Because of the freezes and the crashes it makes a 1 hr workout in to a 1 hr 30 min. I’m sorry but I’m gonna have to give it 1 star because I actually paid for this app and they aren’t fixin the issue.

    I just started the 5x5 Program loved most aspects of it. It would be better if the app had some tips and guides or details about the exercises like on the website, also if the videos had the ability to be downloaded to the app and be played offline, it would have been great.
