Excellent results 285lb squat! • I've gained 8 pounds of muscle in 3 months. • After 12 weeks I'm now aiming for the 300lb squat and getting my bench above 220lb. • In 3 weeks my squat has gone up by 45lb. It's an exercise I've struggled with in the past, but now it's one of my favourites. • Being middle aged, overweight and never lifted weight this was what I needed. I am gaining muscle and strength, losing inches on the waist and squatted 220lb for the first time. I am more than happy. Here’s how to get started with StrongLifts 1. Enter your best lifts (Squat, Bench, Deadlift,…), or start as a complete beginner 2. Watch how we calculate your optimal starting weights for each exercise 3. I did stronglifts before years ago before my fitness life took a detour into crossfit. But recently I've concluded that for most schedules and budgets stronglifts is all that you really need. It's blindingly simple, easy to start and stick to, and most importantly IT WORKS. Now, in the past I tracked my progress with a clunky spreadsheet on the phone. It was fine but not ideal. This app has transformed that. There is no typing involved. No planning ahead. Just show up to your gym, open the app, and start checking off completed sets. If you're a novice let me tell you: exercise is actually the easiest part of working out. The hard part is getting started and then sticking with it. At least for me, this app has made those challenges way easier to overcome. Oh and always remember to warm up. The pro version of this app will help you do that too and if you're already paying for a gym membership the additional cost should be basically negligible.
  • Disgusting

It’s disgusting how you went from a one time payment for a few simple extras on the app to try and charge people $4 a month for practically nothing. This isn’t even your own original workout, yes you made the app and I was a fan until I saw that your trying to charge people a monthly fee for something that you use to charge a one time flat charge, and nothing in the app has even changed!!
  • Great app, Great Support

This app has been extremely helpful in staying organized and on top of my workouts. For a while there, I was having lots of glitchy problems. I left a bad review since the app wouldn’t let me get into the support system and I was frustrated. Luckily, the StrongLifts folks are on top of their s**t and handled the problem with virtually zero communication from me. Excellent work, guys! Thanks for everything. App is working perfectly!
  • Graph is terrible

There needs to be more data about user lifts. Have a graph for each lift that is easier to see, show 1 rep maxes over time along with the weight used for 5 sets of 5 reps.

Love this app (I use the free version). Not only does the StrongLifts program provide a smart way to train for increased strength, it does so while taking the thinking out of it (when using this app). I’ve really enjoyed the frequency of compound lifts, the rate of progressive overload, and the confidence I’ve built by improving my form. Definitely recommend this app.
  • Great but could be fantastic

I’ve had this app for over a year now and it’s honestly one of the best in simplicity. Most apps I feel like it takes to much time to log the most recent set or you have to add weight on the log for your next work out while this app is literally just one tap and you rest some before next set. Only reason I didn’t give it a perfect 5 rating is because I’ve paid for the full app since day one and not much, if anything, has changed in the last year for the app when I use it. Now it wants a yearly subscription (understandable since its not easy/free to improve on apps) and I’m all for it but only if I see some additions I was hoping would have been added by now... 1) setting how long you want your in between sets rest to be. I’d like to set it to 30-60 sec instead of the 130sec. Small, but helpful when you are limited on time or want to increase intensity. 2) slightly more room for customization, especially on the core exercises. I understand it’s 5x5, but if I can “make up” exercises and add them, why not increase the 5x5 limit to 5x8-5x10 if people want to, or at the very least, 5x5 for all exercises (looking at you deadlifts...). I also would like to be able to remove squats from the bench press session as I try to lift daily and I can’t do squats daily, but if I skip them in the app, it marks it as a “fail” and when it’s time to do squats, it lowers the weight... 3) this is a bigger one and it would be worth the subscription 100%... add a “C” routine to give you 3 work outs to rotate through. Make it only subscribers can use it and add some smaller exercise that would be great in between the current A-B sessions for people who want to work out daily/5times a week. Having something that doesn’t have squats in it to use in between the other 2 sessions would be fantastic. Honestly, having B moved to C and adding an in between session alone would make this app perfect even if my first 2 points was ignored completely. Anyways, those points aside, this is a great app for beginners and I highly recommend it if you are looking to achieve a new PR. It’s worth the first cost 100%, but need more customization/content for it to be worth the yearly subscription...

Rating 4 stars because I followed the guide to restore my power pack and lost all my workout history. Make sure to link up with google or facebook before you uninstall the app. The data does not get stored on the apple cloud.
