The info works and I have learned to speak Italian when no one around me speakers it. One lesson in the morning and one at night and you can learn a language in a few months. The problem is the app is terrible it freezes constantly and glitches out all the time. I constantly have to close it out and start it again in the middle of lessons and reset lessons. The lessons are very glitchy on all my phones 6s 7 and the iPhone 10. I think this software was designed for a desktop and modified. It get very frustrating but I would still buy it and use it because the curriculum works and I will use it for my next language. Also my email was incorrect when I purchased it and it still is seriously Rosetta Stone couldn’t even change my email I had to acquire that email address to get access to my account. Now my login it the wrong email address.

I really love the speech recognition part of the app. It is great at picking up the little differences and correcting you. I also love the functionality of the app. Perfect for traveling.

Only thing I don’t like is having the screen horizontally all the time, when I’m learning

If you are old or have any sort of vision impairment, Rosetta Stone does not want your business. They have made CLEARLY OBVIOUS choices of the smallest possible text — with no option to alter it. Simply shameful.

Rosetta Stone has been the standard and has kept improving since I first used it in school years ago. It makes learning a new language effortless and interesting.

I’m in the early stages, but here are my impressions. The learning style takes getting used to. Learn by doing and imitation, and figure out what the words mean just from photos. ***Zero*** explanations or guidance. That’s how a baby would learn, so I guess it makes sense, and I’m getting used to it and making progress. But surprising and sometimes frustrating. Areas for improvement: There is no systematic introduction to reading and writing!!!! Phrases and words simply appear in Japanese. If you’re clever, motivated, and patient, you can figure it out. But the characters and their sounds are not introduced!!! This is a major flaw. Hardly any opportunities to have the app check your pronunciation. Maybe 5-10% of the phrases. Navigation feels very unpolished. Within a lesson, it is impossible to repeat a screen, or go back to a previous one. Serviceable, but is this really the gold standard language app, and the most expensive?!?!
