I enjoy using this app and interacting with friends. I like that others can add me to a workout if I didn’t track mine while doing the same one. I have had issues with the app getting hung up on my WiFi connection and not tracking properly. Wish this would get fixed. I also do a lot of walking along with running. I would love if the weekly mileage and other info also included the miles walked.

💯 Percent the best app, hands down, even with all the nuances. Little known fact by some: Strava developed the first app to allow Apple Watch users to run independently of their cellular devices. *Strava devs are at the mercy of the watch’s GPS, iOS updates, etcetera. Some issues could be Watch (watchOS) related rather than app. I browsed a lot of the comments from various other running apps. Some issues are thematic. 💪 What is Great: - Overall analysis - Training - Drive / motivation - Workout analysis - Community - Virtual races 🤨 What Can Be Improved: - Elevation is too conservative. My elevation calculations are lower than everyone else who run the same routes, including group runs, races, etcetera.

Do not pay for this app, use TrainingPeaks if your serious about training. This was a great app, then they stopped development and so I stopped paying. It’s great for free, TrainingPeaks is a much better paid solution if your serious about data analytics and goals, great team over there. Strava lacks basic separation between mountain bikes or road. It can’t help you explore and create a route when you find yourself somewhere new. They refuse to respond to community boards on their own website. It’s pretty cool as an odometer and to check out what friends are doing. But it’s very frustrating to see these guys ignoring the people that built them.

can we get top speeds as well for biking? maybe calories burned too. it just needs more than time and distance, there are other apps that do more.

  • Can't edit before saving

The new version doesn't let you add photos, description, or mark as commute before saving. Requires uploading, selecting ride, going to edit, making changes, then saving again. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Please consider adding the option to add friends who didn’t record when saving, editing a manual activity. Thank you!

Love this app! If you could make a feature to give an option to make the font a bigger it would be perfect!!!

Stravabooks app isn’t good at all. Rather than hiring good developers they hired marketing people to repackage old features into “Summit”. The Apple Watch app is straight trash. The metrics used are not useful and it isn’t customizable. Do us all a favor and download ismoothrun and copy it. Seriously. Also, syncing... 3rd party apps sync with strava faster than stravas own Apple Watch app!! In summary, fire the marketing dept. hire some new and good devs (not from boot camps please) and get to coding a good app like iSmoothRun. The 3rd party app integration is a joke. For example, MINDBODY. It doesn’t always sync and when it does all I get is a picture and some lame title. “Joe did yoga @ the gym w/“. That isn’t useful at all. What would be useful is having 3rd party apps able to upload stats from the actual workout. Oh wait I use HealthFit as a janky hack to do just that.

I loved it when release notes were introduced by Scott the iOS engineer and the rest of the team. It’s much more friendly than the usual “we update to bring you the latest features and fixes”. Bring back Scott and friends!
