  • Best Podcast App. Period.

    By The_Clooney
Pocketcast excels with the little details. I’ve used several others and find Pocketcast puts great excels in its care for usability, aesthetics and little deliverers. You can theme it dark or light. Wonderful little interactions and animations. Streaming data on your personal listening metrics. Smooth and easy listening and speed control. Great discovery view. Keep up the good work, team!
  • Latest version are battery killers

    By LuckysClub
All of a sudden my iPhone runs low on battery by midday and I’ve traced the problem to Pocket Casts in its last two versions. Checking battery stats in Settings, Pocket Casts is now using 65% of my battery every day and absolutely nothing has changed about my listening patterns.
  • app crashing continuously

app constantly crashes do not buy
  • Best app for podcasts

    By dizzy-miss-izzy
I was using Apple’s podcast app, then Spotify, and unsatisfied with both. This app is definitley the best one I’ve come across! I ALWAYS get notified when a new episode comes out (which was a problem in other apps) and the interface is really easy to use. The dark mode is especially nice. All around, this app is definitley worth it if you listen to podcasts a lot. Also, the “bug fixes” listed under each new app update are really funny.
  • Keeps crashing

    By Ugh does this work?
Overall I’m a big fan, but it’s been crashing consistently for months now at least twice a day. Wish that they’d fix whatever bug it is that’s doing that cause then it’d be back to perfect
  • 7.3.1

Still not exactly up to par with prior versions, but it’s a step in the right direction.
  • Still very glad I purchased this app

    By ArtPyrs
I purchased this app several years ago and still thinks it’s the best podcast app. I am now used to the new UI and feel it makes the app easier to use. Like anything new you need to give it a week or two before you are comfortable again. It has a lot of additional useful settings to explore. I use most of them in order to adjust what stays on my phone and what goes away. I use this app daily. I am especially grateful for the sleep settings as every night I fall asleep to a good mystery drama podcast.
  • The devs are working

    By rakirss
I love this app. I am going to use this forever. Granted that version 7 had its hiccups. The recent two updates fixed a lot of stuff. Keep going Devs. I know stuff can't be fixed over night, sending love for all the hate that is in this reviewers.
  • Sync w/Alexa doesn’t work.

    By Symmetric
I tried Pocket Casts because I wanted the sync feature that allows you to pick up where you left off on a different device. Unfortunately this doesn’t work, or at least it only works in one direction. When I get back from a run I can pick up where I left off on my Alexa… But it doesn’t work to switch back to my phone. Another problem is the app doesn’t properly put controls on the lock screen.
  • Garbage! RUN AWAY!

    By A Guy Who Runs
Worthless developers decided to destroy their highly successful app for the sake of change. Nothing they are releasing under the 7.x.x code base comes close to matching the reliability and functionality of the 6.x.x variant. Absolute failure of design, UI testing, and understating the user base. The arrogant a-hole developers are argumentative and unable to accept constructive criticism when contacted about app issues. Instead of providing paying customers with the ability to reinstall the beloved app purchased by thousands, they tell unhappy users to piss off. Previous app version was awesome. Version 7 is terrible. The interface is cluttered. Nothing is intuitive. Complete redesigns should be new apps. Restore 6.x.x code base. Release 7.0 garbage as separate app. Moved on to iCatcher and regretting ever wasting time or money on PocketCasts.
