  • I love this app!

I couldn't sleep, so I was outside - sitting at the base of El Cerro (volcano) in Los Lunas, NM, at 3:30am on a warm summer night in June, 2017. I was facing east and was searching around for different planets in the app. And Wow! The moon is just now coming up on the eastern horizon. It's only a sliver, but on the horizon, it looks huge. I was amazed, because I thought it had already risen and set by this time. The app helped me find Uranus and Venus, near the moon. This is so cool for amateurs!!

I love this app. When I travel I know I can always look up and if I don't know what star/planet/constellation I'm looking at this app tells me. Plus who doesn't like seeing all the discarded rocket parts and satellites!!! Love this app
  • Very cool

Thanks a lot NASA! (Sarcasm) I started following them on Instagram and got hooked finding the planets etc they would post about periodically. This little app is fantastic for finding what NASA talks about and more! I love the trajectories and addition of satellites. You can even get a peek at what is hiding beneath your horizon!
  • Can't put it down

Day or night, knowing what heavenly bodies are around us at that very moment is incredible. I found all the visible planets and was able to view them with my Orion telescope for the first time. This app is a must for amateur star gazers.
  • Great app!

It's a fantastic app but they got rid of the ability to fast forward at different speeds while viewing the universe. It was fun to do and show people retrograde motion. It was also nice to be able to see where planets and stars would be in subsequent days without having to enter the menu to change the date
