  • Hosts are flakey

    By Dhdhdjejsj
This is my first time using Air bnb... I’ve been trying to get a room for Halloween in New Orleans and I’ve had three hosts cancel on me because they changed their minds. They wanted to wait for October to accept requests for rooms so they can charge more money... So I’ve decided to go back to ordering rooms from Hot Wire. Their room are cheap and you don’t get canceled on for no good reason.
  • Poor Camera Functionality for IPad

Got everything set for booking a property but can’t get my drivers license on IPad into the photo. Don’t make it a requirement if your app can’t support it.
  • Useless app. Unable to log in even with support help

Unable to log in even with customer support help. Why invest in an app that customers cannot use? Web browser works fine though. But the 1star rating is only for the app not for airbnb
  • Log in

    By Baleeeu
The log in is the worst and is so aggravating . I recently changed my number haven’t used airbnb in a year , now I want to use to rent a place for my mother and the app won’t allow me to log in , it ask for a verification like most apps do BUT why won’t it give me and option to change the number for verification. I logged in directly with my email and it still asking for a verification which makes no sense because it won’t allow you to verify your information in another form . So I had to create an entire new account which with everything going on made me not want to use airbnb and just use the vocational home app.
  • Vancouver guest family had cops evict us during stay

    By allannalla1
Here’s the nightmare I experienced recently. I booked Airbnb a month out during a big conference in Vancouver. First I booked at market rate with a complete jerk who demanded I update almost every aspect of my Airbnb profile before he’d complete the booking. After all the hassle of meeting every step, he canceled a week out with no advance warning, leaving us scrambling to find a place in the city (only places remaining were 3x cost). Airbnb doesn’t allow users to leave ratings when cancelled. Plus, had an awful experience with Airbnb customer service where they offered 10% discount on my next booking, only to later back out of that offer. So we booked another place at roughly $600/nt and had the new host call us when we arrived to say the place we’d booked had a scheduling mistake and they wanted to move us to another one of their properties in the city. Long story short the cops showed up to evict us from this new place (apparently the host we had booked through runs a scam of subletting places, not paying the primary leaseholder, changing the locks and renting via Airbnb for as long as they can. The police informed us it was the third time they’d been called to that address in the last six months, always with a different host name provided). To top it all off, when I called Airbnb customer service after the police escorted us (myself, my wife, and our two children under age 5) off the property, I was informed protocol had to be followed and airbnb would be in touch. Not using this service again, highly advise folks to be careful until Airbnb takes measures to prevent this type of fraudulent behavior from happening. It’s pretty simple to validate current standing of ownership/leaseholder status before allowing folks to rent (the fact they haven’t done this yet is more willful than anything and puts the users like us at risk), and holy hell the customer service is awful.

Simple to use and convenient. My go to for travel before a hotel.
  • Georgia getaway

The pictures do NOT do this place justice. I feel very fortunate to have experienced the haven that is Deb & Terry’s home. Their home is perfect for a fun family adventure as well as creating a inspirational spark!

While I sometimes have difficulty getting the calendar to appear, I’m very satisfied with this app.
