The season is right around the corner, yet this app is not optimized for iPhone X. Also, the app’s appearance looks a few years old. Could do with a fresh look.

  • Fine When It Works, Down Right Frustrating When It Does’t

When the app works, it’s a perfectly serviceable app; you can check scores and schedules, check out real rosters and reads news around the league. But there are too many bugs that have been around for too long that can rear their ugly heads at any time and make the app too frustrating to stick with. The first bug isn’t that bad when it happens rarely or during the beginning of the season but is still frustrating nonetheless. The bug is that, at random times when trying to view the schedule, the app will shoot you back to the beginning of the season. This doesn’t sound like a problem until you realize that each separate week requires you to hit an arrow to go to the next and that animation isn’t quick or fluid at all. Sometimes you even hit the arrow and it doesn’t register. Plus, the later you are in the season, the more time this bug takes up. In Nov of 2017 I went into the schedule and it shot me back to week one. I had to individually navigate through every single week since March (regardless of if an MLS team was playing because it follows CCL and International Soccer too) just to see what time a game was. The second bug that actually breaks the app for me is that it constantly sends out notifications that a new article is now up to read but when you go into the app it’s apparent that it hasn’t actually hit the server for the app yet. So you get a notification, have your interest piqued, and then go into the app only for the article not to be up yet. Reload the page, still not there. Force the app closed and reopen, still not there. Restart your phone and start the app up again, still not there. Basically they have a pretty big delay in announcing articles and getting them up for the app EVEN THOUGH THEYRE AVAILABLE ONLINE ALREADY. You can just google the name of the article and it comes up. These are easily fixable bugs that MLS just is too lazy to fix. They dont actually break the app so they just brush complaints off but the reality is that just using google is easier and more reliable than this app.

Gave it a go for way too many years but have given up finally. 1) Every game I wanted to steam this year - blacked out. Without fail, they were blacked out. MLS, if you don’t have rights to broadcast your product, then don’t advertise the feature. 2) When I want serious team news - injuries, changes in starting squad, trades, etc - my local newspaper is a better source. As usual, Don Garber’s claims to be serious about the “product” don’t match the actions. I love the game and have been an MLS fan since 1996, tolerating horrible broadcast quality for the first decade. This app was though has always been useless.

While I get my team LAFC season has not yet started, we can’t keep up with news (which seems to be daily on the team website), new recruits or even select them as favorite and their first game is in 3 months.

It’s a good app except every update causes a glitch somewhere. Right now I can’t watch highlights synced to audio cause the video jumps and the sound stays constant. So update as much as possible and hope for the best

Doesn't matter if I'm on reliable WiFi or my cellular data, this app is terrible at updating. I'll keep it because I love soccer, but I definitely don't love this app.

It’s a great app for the most part, but it’s so frustrating to the app jumps to the top every time I try and scroll. This bug has been in the app forever, and it’s truly unacceptable that the issue persists. Please please please fix!
