  • The Colorado Rapids of apps

So listen. I know you changed a bunch of stuff this season, and I gave it time. Really I did. But you can't just sign a bunch of wingers with ties to the New Zeqland national team and expect to win games in this league. With the way the major revisions roll in this league, your apps gotta be up to the physicality of the league. It's gotta have depth and balance, and frankly this on just doesn't happen. I'm pretty passionate about this league, and we've been through some rough times together, but that's just not an excuse anymore. Last year the app had finally reached a point where it was consistently usable. This year, good luck. The redesigned UI makes no sense. How many clicks does it take to find the box scores and stats. Way too many. You'd think clicking on "scores" would be key to immediately finding access to the stats that we tout as precious. The highlights screen that you're first presented with is a complete waste of real estate. Only then can you dig deeper into the lineups and scores. It's a complete waste of time. Get the details up front with the highlights--especially while games are in progress...I don't care about other matches highlights when I'm watch my team make their own, but a glance at the numbers. That's what the fans really want. Shot charts, heat maps. All apparently a thing of the past. I think the league moved past the app. Hope the league can cut the ties that need to be cut to build a roster that can get us to the next level.

    - Boxscore, shot matrix, possession intervals, per-match player stats, player pictures in lineup are all gone. Stats are hidden, and not easy to access without excessive swiping. - App constantly resets to default areas/positions when actively in use and when navigating quickly away and back to the app. Also only launches to 'latest'. - Cannot enable fullscreen with device in landscape orientation. - Cannot tailor app to a favorite team without giving personal information to a fan profile. - Highlights labels are confusingly placed and some videos such as condensed matches have no label at all, no video length shown for any videos. - Lots of wasted space while almost all text throughout the app is barely legible. - Cannot launch to view any content, tables, schedule, scores without a constant internet connection, from launch to close, nothing is stored for offline viewing.
  • Latest Update Leaves tvOS App Inoperable!

When opening the MLS Live app on Apple TV, it simply displays a screen saying that MLS Live games and coverage is now available on ESPN app with ESPN+. But that’s not what the entire MLS app is or was about. It also had game highlights, scores, schedules, standings, news, and more. I really miss using the tvOS app. Is this intentional? Is the MLS dropping support for its own official native Apple TV app? If that’s not the case (and I’m hoping it isn’t...), please issue an update to resolve said issues. Because currently, I can’t use the app at all. It simply doesn’t do anything other than display the aforementioned message to go to ESPN. it doesn’t even have more than 1 screen UI. PLEASE PLEASE fix this! Thank you!

With latest app I’ve lost all sense of connection to MLS as a league. Interface is clunky and I can rarely find content that previously was intuitive. Back to the future MLS!
  • Glitches and Lagging

This new version is full of glitches and lags badly. I have a hard time getting reliable updates for the team I set as my favorite too.
  • Clunky, slow, and mostly useless

I hate this new app. I have completely stopped using it. i used to use it at least 5 times a week but have since deleted it. I hate the new UI. it’s slow and the goal seemed to be to make it look pretty instead of making it functional. The last straw was the disappearance of the “boxscore” feature. I just want to see a list of goal scorers, cards, and subs like you used to be able to.
  • Good app that needs improvements

Some things I would like to see with the MLS app, is better consistency across desktop, mobile and AppleTV. I'd like more explanation as to why games are or are not viewable as a subscriber. The schedule screen does not always show the times and dates of matches. And you shouldn't have to have a Wi-Fi connection to see standings or scores-that's ridiculous. New version is a massive step backward. Standings no longer are one page and dont clearly show the teams above the line and below. Typical overactive UI change for no clear reason other than trying to look new
  • Worse than before

The previous version was much easier. This one takes you to the wrong link or gives you an error message, cleverly telling you “You’ve been megged!” It’s annoying and too cool for its own good.

I used to love this app, now I hate it. I find myself using the ESPN app to check scores and lineups now. The change is no bueno in my book.
  • New update (Black app)

I like the way it looks but the functionality of the app is terrible in my opinion. I’d rather use the ESPN app, which I do, to stay updated on the league. I really liked the old app. Simple, clean, and easy to use. This update looks like they are trying way too hard. Oh and please, PLEASE enable videos to be viewed while the phone is turned landscape.
