Great app. It allows coaches, players and parents to have a one stop shop all scheduling matters.
  • Not worth the money

I’ve come to the conclusion that TeamSnap is not tennis friendly and will not be renewing after this season. 1. I’m frustrated that I have to be constantly verifying that the team has received my communications. With no reply options, all communication has been outside of the app. That was the whole point of using the premium service, to eliminate the long email threads, and all the different ways of communication create confusion for the less tech savvy users. 2. The differences between the features of the app vs. website are too confusing to team members. While I recognize that most people want their phone to be the primary device for access, some team members have a preference for their computers. Make the features fluid regardless of which device they choose to use. (This a specific complaint regarding a feature. For $13.99 monthly and as the captain of a tennis team, I should have the ability to create lineups regardless of which device I’m working on. Team members should be able to view the lineup in any device.) 3. All communications sent by the captain should save automatically. I sent an alert yesterday through the app, received a response from one teammate, but there’s no history of the alert being sent in TeamSnap. 4. Change the availability terminology options. Yes, no and maybe are sufficient responses. The use of the word “going” is confusing to the team, especially if they’re not actually scheduled to play. 5. Another communication issue specific to the lineup; when I send out the lineup, the communication goes as an email or text, but doesn’t actually display the lineup. The member then has to go to the app to view the lineup. Too many steps.
  • Poor customer service

This was a great app until it mysteriously stopped working. Their idea of “customer service” is leading you through a maze of questions and forms that ends in a message saying you’ll get an email. No email sent. Now no way to contact my players’ parents easily about a change in practice schedule for this week. When you pay for an app like this, dependable customer service and solutions to tech issues should be included.

This app has saved us from so many typical headaches that go along with hockey. We keep finding new ways to use it and then we have more time to enjoy the hockey season.

Using it for two teams. Great knowing who’s going to be there, rather than guessing.
