  • Wonderful improvements

    By GeoJoel
OMG the functionality and management features are out of this world. I’m going to start using again.
  • Don't update if you import maps!

    By JTOgden
New version removes the ability to import more than 2 maps not from the map store unless you pay $30+/year. That makes this app useless for me and many people I have recommended it too as we use it for the maps DNR has on its website for free. Sad used to love this app. Greed kills
  • Great app, but...

    By bLynnb330
I use this app quite extensively and it’s wonderful! I have a few suggestions though. I saw a previous review that said the search engine on mobile devices is horrendous. I agree. I also saw Avenza’s response and they’re working on it. So I hope that’s fixed relatively soon. Another issue is that you don’t get notifications telling you when one of your maps has a newer version pushed by the creator. If that was implemented so you knew when to redownload the map to stay up to date, I would have no complaints!
  • Great Hiking GPS and Maps

    By Snapnuts
Great app and I’ve spent a good amount of money on maps. Has never let me down. All we need ASAP is an apple watch app capable of displaying the map and position etc. Competing apps have this functionality already. I may have to switch, but don’t want to lose the money I spent on maps.
  • Premier Maps App

No debate. There is no other mapping app that holds a candle. Leave your expensive GPS behind. All you need is this app and a phone!!!!
  • Not worth the value

    By Aberration32984712
I bought this program to make sure I stay on public land for hunting, which is a problem in my area. It does accomplish this, at a steep 4.99 for each unit I go to. And the definition of the maps are so poor I couldn’t actually use them to navigate. I saw Gaia mentioned in another review, for the cost of the unit maps I could have easily covered the premium yearly subscription and gotten far more value.
  • Bicycling Aid

    By jholis
This is such a great app for learning not only the actual bike trails, but also the city streets with bike lanes, the “bike friendly” streets and the low traffic roads, streets and lanes. What a find! I’m so excited to go exploring with my new Avenza maps!
  • Birds Eye View

    By A1/7
Using the Avenza map system is like getting a birds eye view of where your at and the various road options that you can travel. I still use my GPS but not as much! Highly recommended!
  • Big picture

    By lathound
Although I think this app is great and would have rated it higher if it had a base map feature or would somehow show you where you are even if you don’t have the map purchased! I own a few garmin products that are not being used as much now that this app is out
