As a busy mom I really enjoy being able to work on my family history from my phone when I have a spare moment and this app makes it super easy.

Since I have upgraded y account I like it even better. So interesting to find out new little tidbits of my ancestors, old and young. **My original response I like it. Can't do too much in depth but it does allow me to run through the hints while sitting at the Dr or elsewhere waiting.

  • New features are buggy

    By PartyLady09
I love the Ancestry app. However, some of the new features, like the new DNA matches style and Thrulines, are very buggy. When I look at a profile in my DNA matches, the back button doesn’t work. I have to turn beta off to go back. Also, it says that all you need for Thrulines to work is a searchable tree and that it can be public or private. That’s not true. Thrulines only works if the tree is private. I feel like Ancestry does lots of little underhanded things like this, and it makes a bad impression.

Used it on my iPhone while visiting my elderly mother. Great resource.
  • Great App

I’ve been switching between the app and website since I started updating my tree several months ago. The app is not always intuitive but it’s got a lot of power. I really like how easy it is to see the whole tree, too. Nice work Ancestry!
  • Great Way To Look Into The Past

    By petegutz2
Many of us long to know what the past has yielded in terms of our present circumstances and gives us the opportunity to peek into our past. Although the view backward can be muddled and murky, the research often pays off richly especially with connections that you have never known.
