I’ve had Shazam for almost 8 years now and it has stayed true to its purpose - so perfect. Also, for Apple Music people, it’s the best thing ever. I love it. Always.

This is an excellent app and it is very precise. Love it.
  • Needs iCloud integration.

There’s a defect in the current version where if you pull up the full list of all past Shazams and you click the thumbnail Play button, it switches to a full screen view of the last Shazam you did and plays that instead. Only way to play past ones from a long time ago is to pull them fully up on the screen and then click the play button. You need to fix this! Why do I need to create yet another account to backup my data? That’s lame. Every other app has iCloud integration for such purposes. I don’t need you farming my info by doing this.
  • Used to be good

Used to love Shazam. ID a tune buy it and it’d go into my iTunes. Now would go to Apple Music which I refuse to pay for. So now I have to ID the tune, go to iTunes look it up and buy there. So basically you’ve lost whatever you would have made from the sale. Your app is useless save for identifying the song. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!
  • Seems to be getting worse with time

More and more this app seems to be becoming a funnel for Apple Music sales. Accuracy seems to have fallen off in recent years, and artist info is significantly reduced. When I hear an unknown track, I don’t just want the artist’s name and a buy link—I want context, metadata, exegesis.
