Tried to enter my home address multiple times and tells me the address is invalid. I know where I live so what's up with that?

I'm 18 years old, I have never used the app but I have used the website, I just joined. I was using this site to find some easy jobs to make some quick and easy money before finding a real job. I signed up to be a pet sitter or housekeeper, just some easy jobs, and have literally gotten nowhere because as I was scrolling through some pet sitter jobs near me I went to apply for one and saw that the button said '4 credits'. I had no idea what that meant so I clicked on the button and it brought this page asking me to buy some credits before I can apply to any pet sitting jobs! I was furious! The whole reason I joined as a worker was to make money from applying to the jobs on the site not to waste money trying to get one. And they said that they were to 'improve the experience' or whatever, yeah, definitely didn't 'improve' anything. Now I can't even apply for a pet sitting job! Buying these credits should be optional, not a necessity. This site needs to stop making people spend all this money just for us to actually use it just so they can make a profit.

  • A Scam for workers..

Ive been on Care.com for about 3 weeks now and have only been spammed by a bunch of fake profiles offering jobs,, its become extremely irritating because you think you have a job just for it to be a fake profile and get an email from Care.com saying so after. I came to Care.com with an open heart and excited to take care of babies and dogs, too bad it was disappointing try Rover, instead.
  • What a joke..

Not helpful. Don't waste your time or money. You can't contact care providers without paying for a premium membership. Providers didn't respond and or canceled 30 min before.
  • I'm a big fan of the service and application

  • Horrible experience so far

I know it's not exactly Care.com's fault, but we've had a horrible experience trying to find a sitter. We hired one person who didn't show up. We've scheduled several interviews, only for them to cancel at the last minute. We've messaged several people who's profiles meet our needs and never get any response. This has been a complete waste of money thus far.
  • Not a safe service for your children

This business uses your family's private, personal details to make money through the data brokerage industry. Any information they get through this app is sold to data collectors. This includes your children. Examples: The app tracks everything you write in messages, record in the calendar, and do on your mobile device that the app can get its hands on. The app also records the places you go, all times spent in any location, when you are in or out of the house, through GPS tracking. Use of child "care" services on the app gives the business your children's tracking information too. An advertiser buys that information from this app business. This buyer in turn makes a profit out of you and your personal life, through business analytics and marketing strategy implementations. After all, kids are a lucrative target audience. Market research has invaded personal privacy, which is a Constitutional right (please, read the fourth ammendment, the preamble, and the ninth ammendment). When your child's personal privacy is violated for money making, it is time to draw a line the sand. Stick to doing business with decent people behind the service. Businessmen like the ones behind this app are unjust and are doing evil to the American people. Even going after children for big data partnerships! Please take time to get informed about the data brokerage industry, if you are not already aware of what it entails. The privacy of your children is endangered by this service and their associates. Remember, child sex offenders have internet access, and data can be hacked into more easily than the public is aware. Pedophiles can buy into the data market. JUST a few red flags from their terms of service, forced on you: [We] enable Care Seekers and Care Providers to search based on the information the other [your child] has made available on the Site, and the information others have provided about them; Care.com may also receive unique device identifiers and other information about your mobile or other device(s), and mobile operating system. We may correlate this information with other information we have about you. We may also automatically collect information related to the ways in which you interact with the Site and the Services understand your likely interests, prevent fraud, etc. We may combine information that we collect from you with information about you from such other sources You acknowledge and agree that we may disclose any of the information we've collected about you to any of our affiliates or subsidiaries for the purposes of providing you with the Services, operating the Site, and our other commercial purposes, including those of our affiliates and subsidiaries. In the event we go through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of ours or that acquirer's affiliates may continue to process your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. They are plain liars: Care.com does not employ, recommend or endorse any care provider or care seeker nor is it responsible for the conduct of any care provider or care seeker."
  • Care chat

HATE the new "CareChat" update. It is so inconvenient to not be able to simply receive someone's phone number or email to send my resume to because you force us to use the new feature and if I try to send your contact info it blocks it out so they can't see it! Not happy.
  • Almost perfect.

I have had a lot of luck with care.com. The only reason I give it four stars is that it is difficult to get an receive contact information.
