    I am 17 years old and about to turn 18. I can’t find any jobs around me until I am 18 so I resorted to this app. But I can not pay for “credits” just to apply for a job. It should be free either way. Also how is it that a picture of me with a dog does not fit your guide lines? It makes no sense especially since I’m looking for pet sitting jobs. Also, every time I attempt to open the calendar on the app, it crashes.

    Care.com has been a valuable tool for connecting health care professionals to our families needs. I will never hire in this area again with out their help. The app is super easy to use as well.

    I’m a sitter and I get a lot of jobs through Care.com. I really like that I get to find jobs easily through the system. However, I hate Care chat. It makes things complicated and often confuses the families, because they don’t know why their numbers are being block. We have to send each other our emails, just so we can send our phone numbers, so we can finally call or text. I understand it’s a considered to be helping our safety during the “hiring process,” but once I’m hired, I need an easy way to contact them. They’re not going to pay for care forever, so I won’t be able to use Care chat with a family forever. Really wish there was an option to turn it off.

    Most of my complaints aren’t about the app functionality. I just don’t like care.com in general. They charge fees to the care givers and the care seekers and they have advertising. It’s beyond double dipping. It works great for when we travel and are in larger cities and population areas but at home in our rural area options are already thin and the fees keep more people especially care givers from using the service. I’d honestly pay a little more as a care seeker if they wouldn’t charge the care givers and then maybe more of them would use it and I’d have more options.
  • “Free trial” isn’t free

    Watch out for this. You are auto enrolled after the free trial period (usually three days) and your credit card is then charged $40 without any action on your part. Beware.

    They have helped me big this past year a lot! Yes they've had they're issues but fixed all the complaints I've ever had with them. Yes there's a few scams on there but, they really figured out who they are so they don't mess up your business anymore. At least they haven't with mine lately. But as of now my business is really kicking up with regular customers not just vacation!

    This app is super easy to use and it’s very convenient to have on your phone. You can check messages in less than 3 clicks, which is a lot easier, in my opinion, than getting online.
  • Nothing but scams

    I signed up (and paid) for a one month membership. In that time, I have applied to over thirty jobs with only one response. All the messages show up as being unread. I am assuming this is due to the insanely high cost care.com charges people that are posting jobs. When I do get messages, it is nothing but scam artists. I get one of these scam messages at least once a day. I paid $16 for absolutely nothing.

    Perhaps greed.com instead? Randomly deleting an account immediately after paying seems to be a new thing. Barely was able to review a single nanny. No explanation outside of an awful boilerplate email sent. $30 lost. Avoid like the plague.
