  • Great app

I switched to this app from Grocery Gadget after using that app for years, since Grocery Gadget was crashing all the time and I didn’t like having ads for the paid version. Our Groceries works great, is simple to use, has a nice clean interface, and was easy to import into. I couldn’t export from Grocery Gadget, so I had to view items with the max number of items per page and copy the text on each page into Excel, which worked - I just had to remove any extra text that copied over and format it a bit. I’ll be sticking with Our Groceries from now on!
  • Integrates with Alexa, and my life!

The short version: Four features sold me on this app. (If this list excites you enough to give it a try, you can skip reading the rest of my review. LOL): - Integrates with the Amazon Echo Show (and perhaps the entire line...not really sure how skills work yet) - Organize shopping list by aisle in my favorite store, or by specialty store - @Amazon, @PetSmart, etc. - Cloud-based, accessible by browser and smartphone app - Add items to shopping list en masse by including them in separate Recipe lists The long version: I was in the market for apps that integrate with the Amazon Echo Show. Thus, I started using this as my grocery app because it has a skill for Alexa. You have no idea how much simpler that makes my life! I tell Alexa the moment I run out of something in the household, and she dutifully passes the message along to the cloud-based system that manages my list. I will then organize the item on my shopping list later. (Organizing an item is a one-time effort, automatically saved for future reference for when you add the item to the shopping list again in the future.) Three additional features really sold me on this app, however. One is using the "Category" assigned to the product to organize the list by where it is most frequently purchased. (Admittedly this is more of a hack than a feature. Still, it gets the job done.) My products are organized by aisle around my most-often visited Target store in the area, with some products noted by specialty store -- @Amazon, or @PetSmart, for example. The second feature is the ability to share your list with family members. Then the grocery list becomes a shared responsibility instead of simply my chore to manage...if your family actually can set aside the time out of their texting and social media to actually use it, that is. :) The third feature is the ability to add separate Recipe shopping lists to your collection. Then you can select a recipe to add its ingredients to the shopping list en masse! Great for recipes with lots of ingredients -- my recipe for chili, for example. All around, a great app and well worth the in-store app purchase price, in my opinion.

  • Basic

Much more basic than other grocery list apps. Unless it’s hidden I can’t find where to set your store or customize lists by different aisle order...
  • Not working well with Google Home

I give an audio command to Google Home to add an item to this list. It confirms that the item was added to the list. However, the item is not added to the list on the phone app. When you log into the website, the item is added to the list there. I emailed for support and have not heard back. Does not work well and no support = zero stars.

Tried others that were buggy. I like being able to use it on the pc. Syncs perfectly and quickly.
  • Simple, customizable, easy to use

My husband and I have been using this app for quite awhile now. Tried many other grocery apps, either you can’t customize or there are so many options it becomes cumbersome. Syncing feature works great and is very useful. You can create lists for multiple stores and you have complete control over customizing your categories. You can also add a photo to an item on your list. One suggestion: add a “note” feature to items so you can add a description (brand, sale etc). Then I’d give it 6 out of 5 stars.

I love that the entire family can contribute. You can create specific lists for special occasions and create items specific to you own needs.
  • Mind of its own

Generally works well across all platforms (phone, tablet, computer). Items have a bad habit of being marked off when the phone app is opened. Or seemingly added at random. Requires close attention to your shopping. Frustrating.
  • Great for Other lists too!

I use to keep track of stuff hubby wants to pick up at hardware store! I also find it handy for Xmas and other gift ideas, packing list for trips, general to do list for out of ordinary items, books I want to read or get at library, etc. It’s grrrreat for groceries but you can tell that from other reviews. I have separate lists for different grocery stores-Aldis, Marc’s, Whole Foods, etc so I can consolidate errands according to geographic area I’m heading to that day. Have recommended this to many of my friends and tell them to think beyond the box once they fall in love with it for groceries!
