This app needs an UPDATE. Papaya, tomatoes & potatoes are high up on the GMO LIST. Produce that need to be added cashews, Brazil nut, almonds, breadfruit & etc. inaccurate info such as guava, which has pesticides. Add health benefits & nutritional value of produce. The information in this app is opposite of what USDA Studies have found from testing.

  • Inaccurate information

Purchased this app, however I was disappointed at the lack of correct information based on the area in which you live and the app states that certain produce are in season year round, when anybody that knows anything about produce knows that is wrong. Just because some produce is available year round doesn't make it "in season". This app also does not list all produce in accordance with your region, for example I live in California where we have watermelon it's seasonal however watermelon isn't even listed in California. Anyways purchase at your own risk, the information needs a lot of updating and research done to make it a viable app at this point.

Carefully thought out and well designed, with attention to color and detail. Also happy that he got his pesticide info from Environmental Working Group. 5 stars! :)

Brilliant app. I know know which foods I must obtain the organic version of AND how to know if the food is perfectly ripe AND how to store the produce at home to maximize "shelf life" and freshness. Worth every penny!
