  • For me, a bait & switch

    I purchased one year of TuneIn Premium for the “audible books” that worked out to less than $10/mo for me. As someone with a neurodegenerative disease, who used to read for a lucrative living, now living on a fixed income, both the price point and service mattered a great deal, as it is now difficult for me to read my 3 kindles. I also enjoy having MSNBC on radio; however, I have Comcast, so with the iOS app, I can listen to MSNBC as a “radio app” standing alone or while using other apps, just as with TuneIn. I would like to talk to TuneIn Premium’s Customer Service, yet it seems they would want me to do that. My Annual Renewal of TuneIn Premium is approaching in November and they stand to lose someone who could be a continuing, automatically, annually renewing customer, which is great for their books in competitive markets; however, my “customer service” tab in TuneIn Premium’s “settings” links to a blank service recommendation, which I had no option but to use. I cannot see any other method of contacting TuneIn Premium Customer Service, so I’m going out on a limb and guessing that the Customer Service Team who dreamed up this ploy is not as large as their marketing team, if not their economics forecasting But I hope and shall continue my pursuit of the TuneIn Premium’s mythical customer service. I shall update my review of TuneIn Premium’s Customer Service. 😳

    A couple complaints though. 1) fast forward and reverse replaced by station scan. Ridiculous. No one scans through their favorites. Well maybe once in a blue moon. I was using FF and Rewind CONSTANTLY. I understand that we’re supposed to be “Scrubbing”w the tiny dot-on the-line thing. Its very difficult to move it in small increments to catch something you just missed. 2) Again the smaller album art is back. It’s now the size of a postage stamp. I don’t think the source button (concentric circles w a triangle) needs a full 1/4 of the screen. It could be hidden in a drop-down. Otherwise a good app. Thanks

    I don’t understand if I am paying for the premium app. why I get commercials at the beginning of the songs and in the middle get cut off for a commercial as well. I am signing to my account, or I am doing something wrong on my end. Very annoying the commercials that’s why I paid for the premium one. Please help to fix this annoying commercial if possible after that it's 5 stars. Thanks
  • Sneaking in cheesy, loud commercials

    This was once my favorite app and I believed that by paying extra for the Pro version, I would not be blasted by loud commercials before my radio station loaded. Nevermore!
  • Current version is not working.

    I completed the most recent update of this app as well as the latest update from Apple on my phone and the app no longer works. It will always display “An error occurred please try again. Hoping this gets fixed soon as I use this app all day at work.

    ...years ago, back before they added another version (“premium”), but now I’m being bombarded with TuneIn-based ads, harassing me to pay MORE for Premium, in addition to those ads that might be incidental to a commercial station’s own broadcast, and I’m getting fed up. My favorite local station (KHVH) isn’t even included, and more and more often my prior Favorites are being replaced with their insipid “Hey, TuneIn listener - this station is no longer available” recording. Very sad, and just plain wrong...Mike in Honolulu, Oct. 10th, 2018
