  • Notifications ruin games‼️

GAME FINAL SCORE UPDATES SHOW UP AND RUIN GAMES BEFORE THE GAME ENDS WHILE I'M WATCHING IT IN THE APP. The notification always pops up and ruins the game when there are 15 seconds to a minute left because the app streams the games like a minute behind live TV. Maybe create a “no-spoiler” mode or something so you can easily flip one switch on or off to avoid spoilers at any given time by not getting any score updates. Edit: FIX VIDEO PLAYER. Video player is terrible. Worst problem is it automatically goes to a new video when you finish one, and you can’t go back to watch the previous one again or share it... also you can’t even read the video title without turning the phone vertical and clicking on the video Notifications for all close games!!! There should be a way to see notifications for all close games or something. I hate having to add a close game alert for every good game... 😭😭😭 MAKE A WAY TO DELETE SPORTS - I only care about Football and Men’s basketball (NFL, NBA, NCAAF, NCAAM). Please make a way to delete every sport from the app that a user doesn’t want Can’t see Thursday FBS games! I go on the app every Friday and Saturday to look at the weekend’s college football games and it won’t show you the Thursday games! What a joke.
  • Needs Apple Watch Update

I really enjoy this app on all of my devices, but I’d love it if there were complications that worked with the Apple Watch’s new watch faces. I got a Series 4 a couple of weeks ago, and noticed the complication was missing on the Infograph watch faces and was pretty disappointed.
  • App doesn’t respect in app notification settings

I’m a minimalist when it comes to push notifications and try to be intentional about when I open apps instead of letting push notifications prompt an open. I understand this is against the norm and not in the business’s best interest but when a user is allowed and has chosen to turn all notifications off via the in app settings, it should be honored. I continue to receive breaking news alerts after turning that switch off in settings. I have one or two teams that I’m interested in getting notifications about so my native notification settings will not solve this issue. Please stop changing users settings. Until that happens the app has been deleted.

This app is just bad and here’s why 1. BREAKING NEWS KEEPS TURNING ON AND GIVING YOU NOTIFICATIONS YOU DONT CARE FOR 2. Notifications sometimes don’t come and sometimes they do which defeats the purpose of this app 3. espn+ is a joke plain and simple 4. There’s so much bloat of crap you most likely don’t care for and again you can’t disable it
  • Cannot delete ‘favorites’

Used to be better. You cannot delete ‘favorites’. I accidentally added the spurs, and now I get blasted in the face with spurs updates every time I open the app! Help!
  • Has potential but too buggy

There are things I do like about this app - it’s easy to follow all your favorite teams, you can watch videos, it updates in real time. But unfortunately the benefits are not outweighed by the annoyances. The biggest (and until today, only) complaint I have is the incessant notifications. I know how to set notifications settings through my phone and the app, it is not an issue of ignorance. I’ve set the strictest settings I could, so I *should* only get a push notification when the two NFL teams I follow score points. Instead, I get constant notifications about random news from the NFL and MLB (the two leagues in which I have tagged favorite teams). I have tried turning of “Team News” and every other notification setting except the one for points being scored by my NFL teams. Nothing has worked. Eventually I just disabled notifications entirely for that app in the phone’s settings, which almost defeats the point of having it for me. The latest issue is a recurring error message telling me to check my internet connection. Nothing on the app will work, despite me having internet access. The pop up just comes up over and over again as I hit “retry” in vain. I do hope they fix these issues so I can use the app again. Until then, it gets two stars from me.

Crashes all the time after attempting playback for any period of time. The appletv version of the app is even worse, what an absolute shambles.

I’m not seeing ESPN as an option on the Apple Watch under or above the time as it was on the other apple watches

Just because I open the app does NOT mean I want you to change my alerts so I get notification of breaking news.
  • Notifications out of control

It is impossible to shut off some of the notifications. They just come back on later. So I turned off all notifications for the app in settings and switched to another sports app for now. Bye bye ESPN. fix your bugs and maybe I’ll come back.
