It would be nice to have a screen to change or reset your password. Also an icon so that you could end the application.

  • Locks up on search function past 48 hours. ? No iPad app?

Same problem on laptop as on iPhone. Price has nearly doubled over the past 2-3 years or so. Ads have become more intrusive. Oh, yeah, and didn't they go public? Anyone see a pattern? Problem is, there's very little competition. And as for the iPad, Bloomberg and Schwab have killer apps. I'm willing to pay the price, but I don't feel they're keeping up. The ads are particularly annoying. That having been said, the service is quite useful when it's accessible.
  • Makes you log in manually every time it launches - looks like login issue was fixed. Just retested

I like the Morningstar data. On a web browser, the site is fine. But the mobile app apparently was never tested by humans. Each time I launch it, if I want to view my portfolios, I need to re-enter my credentials. It will pop up a “save” dialog window, but only for a few milliseconds. And, even if you manage to hit save, it’s just a tease. Nothing is saved. Data presentation also stinks on the mobile. The whole app looks like an afterthought, not a serious attempt to build value. I’m running the IOS version. Perhaps the Android release is functional.

Why does the portfolio not total the value of all holdings?
  • App crashes all the time

    By Winne2212
It crashes every time I push bavk button on my phone and they can’t fix it??
  • Useless as wet toilet paper.

Stick with Finviz, TOS, or Barchart.
  • Still requires logon & 30% of website functionality

    By basegad
Morningstar still requires a logon (now every 7 days). No face recognition or thumbprint feature available. HUGE pain to do logon to get to non-private or proprietary data (what idiot would enter actual holdings to this site?). Also, very limited functionality vs. their website. You can’t view your lot info or notes from the website on this app. Content is not worth the hassle. Moving on to another product!!!
  • App doesn’t recognize premium login

    By RayTrader
The updated App dies not recognize premium subscriptions. Use the web based access instead.
