TripView displays Sydney and Melbourne public transport timetable data on your phone. It features a summary view showing your next services, as well as a full timetable viewer. All timetable data is stored on your phone, so it can be used offline. Features: - View times for any saved trip with a single tap - Real-time delay information and vehicle map (Sydney only, subject to data availability) - Trackwork and service interruption information - Interactive maps (create your trip by clicking on your station/stop) - Alarms (arrival/departure, time/distance) - Multi-modal trip editor (customise exact change locations / lines) - View your favourite trips on Apple Watch Realtime data is available for the following operators: - Sydney Trains (Sydney metro area only, excluding Waterfall and the T6 Line) - Sydney and Newcastle Buses - Hillsbus, Forest Coach Lines, Busways Blacktown, Transdev North Shore - Sydney Ferries - Sydney Light Rail (excluding stops between Exhibition Centre and Central) NOTE: Best efforts are taken to ensure timetable accuracy, but no guarantees are made. If you find an error in the timetable, please email with details. No guarantees are made about real-time data availability. If the transit operator doesn't provide real-time data for a particular service, TripView will revert to showing the scheduled time, as per the timetable. Alarms require iOS4 and a device that is capable of multitasking. Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

  • The most useless ridiculous app

Save your money- if you want to throw your money in the toilet buy this useless app. I’m in Sydney now - better use google than this ridiculous stupid useless app on the earth designed by retarded person.
  • a great app

    By Docabilly
This app makes public transport in Sydney super easy. watch you bus come down the road on the real-time map and time your leaving any building to catch the bus with ease. You can also tap any bus stop to see any bus stopping there and where it can take you.
  • Nice interface

I really like the way you can get the times so easily, but I do find it time-consuming to find the schedules. It's hard to go through the bus numbers.
  • Awkward and difficult to figure out

    By anonymousfrustrated
I travel a lot and use transit and transit apps all around the world. I found this one unusually complicated. This is great for people who take the same bus every day. You create a trip and save it, then all you have to do is click on that trip for real time info. Fantastic. For a tourist who doesn't know the area it's a nightmare to use. What I wanted was an app that would pop up with a map, I'd click on the stop I was at and see when the next buses would arrive. If it's possible with this app, I didn't figure out how to do it. In the end, I was usually able to get the information I needed, but it required lots of keystrokes, and you would have to know your general destination. Please make one where you can just put in a stop number and see the real time arrivals. For visitors, I would rate this as way too complicated, for locals it's going to work well assuming you travel the same basic routes.
  • Finally sync!

The best of the transport apps finally closed the loop on the last great missing feature! You can now sync trips across devices. Thanks!
  • Best transit app I’ve used

    By ashill
Best transit app I’ve used. Very simple and clean. I used it extensively in Sydney from 2012-2014 but have since moved away. Wish there was a transit app anywhere near as good for other cities.
  • Awesome watch app!

    By kyarbro
The  Watch part of TripView is fantastic. It gives me exactly what I need in the glance and upon launching. The distance sorting and auto-reversing allows the watch app to nearly always show me the train I want to take -- based on where I am and my saved routes. Very thoughtfully done.
  • Makes bus and trains usable

    By µseek
I *could* use google maps. But this app truly excels in point to point trips. i.e. this station to this station without transfers, which is what I use it for. The "bookmarks" help greatly for this. I use in Newcastle and Sydney. For transfers, I supplement with google maps.
  • Perfect

Excellent app to travel in Sydney
  • App of the Decade

    By webercoder
Update: several years later and I still use this app daily. It's the reason to own an iOS device in Sydney. This is seriously the most practical and useful app I own, and it works great. OP: If you live in or are traveling to Sydney, this is a must have application. I'm surprised that the developer hasn't adapted it other cities as well. It's seriously amazing.
