SplashID is the world's most trusted password storage system. For over 12 years, over one million users have kept their passwords safe with SplashID - and now it gets even better with an all-new version. Think of SplashID as your personal vault or digital wallet on the iPhone or iPad. You can store and lock sensitive information - not just usernames and passwords but credit card data, account numbers, registration codes, prescriptions, and much more. Keeping your usernames, passwords, and bank account numbers in your head, on a Word or Excel file, or written on a piece of paper is unsafe. Passwords can be forgotten; laptops can be lost. With SplashID, your data is easily and quickly accessible, reliably stored, and - most importantly - secure. Only SplashID offers: - Access: Free, native, secure apps for mobile, desktop, web, and browser - Choice of sync and storage: You decide how to store and sync your records with convenient cloud sync, local network Wi-Fi sync, or on-device storage - Touch ID login - Customizable record types and categories keep information organized - Photo capture feature quickly and easily stores credit card information - File attachments: upload photos, documents, and add notes to any record for reference - Protection features include 256-bit encryption and 2-factor authentication - Secure sharing: Safely share records with other SplashID users or even those who don’t use SplashID - Automatic SplashID Backup service to ensure data never gets lost - Security dashboard provides usage statistics and tools to monitor and fix weak, reused, and old passwords - Web autofill saves typing in usernames, passwords, and delivers the correct address from the secure data vault every time to prevent phishing - SplashID extension available for autofill in Safari Lock your personal information up in a state-of-the-art data saver and feel comfortable knowing that at any time you can access private information safely. • In maintenance mode

BUYER BEWARE! This app is no longer being developed. According to Nikolai, tech support, it’s in maintenance mode. Hence, there will be no new features. Buyer beware! It could sure use some.
  • Weird bugs but useful

I’ve been using this app for a long time, back yo my Palm Pilot days I think. It is great for keeping passwords and credit card numbers handy. My only issue, which has been perennial throughout all its iterations, is that over time the app mixes up icons and field titles. I don’t know if it’s caused by its syncing or what, but very annoying. No way to fix it other than manually re-edit everything. Not going to happen when you have 1000+ entries
  • Good program. Horrible support

    By Sgtpepa
I’ve used SplashID ever since I had a Palm Treo, so I’m no novice with it. The program works well though they are always trying to upsell you. My sister, who I do tech support for, had an issue where she paid for the lifetime WiFi synch, but used the wrong email address as she has 2 addresses. So her app keeps asking her to upgrade. She contacted support and they cannot seem to understand how to help her. They keep telling her to go on her computer and connect, but she does not even have the app on her computer, just on her iPhone. There is a day or 2 or more delay between replies, and instead of reading thru the issue, they just keep saying the same thing over and over. I would think twice before purchasing this app if you think you may need support, because theirs is definitely lacking.
  • Don’t upgrade

    By Sharktapus
If you own this app originally, don’t bother with the upgrade. It doesn’t work and they won’t refund your money. I just lost $19.99 and apple refuses to refund one hour after purchasing. The app doesn’t open ANY of the upgraded options. First review I’ve ever written. Hope I can save someone $20 hard earned dollars. Download the desktop app and sync that way for free. Don’t bother with the cloud “upgrade”, the error never goes away even after purchase.
  • Best Password App Out There

    By Dwillar
I’ve used SplashID since the Palm II days and I’m still using both the iPhone and Windows versions. I love the way it works and how I can change icons and fields, mask or unmask, and keep many kinds of info from passwords to flyer numbers to serial numbers or credit cards. I use the wireless sync between my iPhone and desktop to keep it synced and backed up. I’ve had family members try other apps but they seem more awkward and less friendly to use so I switched them to SplashID and they are happy. Count me as very satisfied. 5-stars. I’ve had a couple of hiccups here and there but it’s always been fixed. I can’t understand the people who have crashes because mine has been highly reliable. When I had an issue with my subscription it took one email and they quickly updated my account.
  • Great app. Minor issues over easily a decade.

I’ve had this app since the Handspring days (for those of you who remember). Had minor issues throughout the years, bought the lifetime license and once they went to email registration I have been able to use on Android and iOS. I just keep my file local, avoid cloud sync and backup the exported file regularly to my PC. When issues come up with data integrity, I just use the latest backup file and back to life.
  • Good app

It sinks well with all my other Apple devices.
  • Basic PW Manager

This App is a C+ at best. Gets the job done but the developer has zero innovation when it comes to supporting new iOS features.
  • Really?

    By Bcgeesey
Pay $20 bucks a year or use an app that doesn’t work. I might pay a yearly scrip if the mobile app worked in the first place but the “add account” button in the app doesn’t work at all. Not exactly inspiring confidence that you can keep my information safe if you can’t even make a mobile app that works.
  • Still garbled text, a train wreck. Avoid!

    By Rich19500
The developers have had years to fix the garbled text problem and it still exists despite all the so-called recommended fix’s. It’s a software problem pure and simple and there is a fix for everything. Pass on this app folks. Splash ID/Data was good way back in the Palm Pilot days but today thee are better alternatives for storing your passwords safely. Don’t even consider using this app, a potential train wreck but your call. DataVault is a much better app and it’s free. And it’s just one of many.
