  • Aggressive subscription feature

The app may not be bad, but once I downloaded an app that describes itself as 3-day-free-offer, you actually have to CANCEL explicitly or will be charged. When I looked under “subscriptions” on my phone, there is no cancel option for this app. Even though I deleted the app and it’s data after 15 mins from downloading, it still is listed under subscriptions with $39.99/annual. Instead of presenting you with an option to subscribe after 3 day of “free offer” it appears to be set to charge. If it does, I will fight the charge through my credit card — this is very unfriendly and aggressive practice.

Subscription is $40/yr a bit excessive if you ask me

I have purchased a number of identification apps for various purposes, plants, flowers, birds, etc. This is the only one that actually works. Perfect hit every time so far.

    How do I cancel subscription?
  • Need to cancel trial before being charged please

How do I cancel the trial before I am charged? There is not a clear path to know how to cancel. The app could not help me identify a carpenter ant with wings after many tries with inaccurate results. I do not want to be charged 39.99 for an app that can't identify accurately. Please help.
  • Nothing great about this app

I’ve had the app for less than an hour. Took pictures of 3-4 bugs in my garden that I am concerned about. The app identified them, although I don’t think it identified them correctly. For example, it said (claiming 95% accuracy) that I have mealy bugs, but upon further online investigation I believe they are Woolly Aphids. The app claimed another bug was a spider. It’s a type of grasshopper. After taking pics of the 3-4 bugs, I am unable to use the app without paying $39.99/year. No thanks. Couldn’t even use app for a few hours or for more than 5 pics of bugs to identify before being charged. Also the camera in the app is useless (perhaps why it wasn’t correctly identifying the bugs). You’ll need to take a pic on your phone and then upload from your photos into the app instead of using the camera in the app. Nothing great about this app. Will be trying another.

It worked once and won’t let me do anything on it anymore 🤷‍♂️
  • I’m very disappointed.

Thought this app was free. Apparently to even use to app you have to pay 3 dollars. That’s no fun when I as a kid don’t have any money. I got really excited thinking I finally can identify the huge spider in my attic. But no. I bet I could search on Wikipedia with the colors and leg amount of the spider in my attic and find it instantly. Why pay 3 bucks when you can just use your eyes? I’m disappointed in this app. Very.
  • Good design but aggressive nagging

I deleted this with about three minutes, not because the app accuracy or design seemed subpar, but because I detest apps that twist your elbow behind your back to go premium and to give a favorable review right out of the gate. If you had shown even a bit of respect for your user and toned down the nags, there’s a fair chance I would have ended up paying for premium. I understand they’re necessary to make income, but you can’t berate the user into buying your product and expect a good outcome.
  • Does not mention it is a subscription based app in description

App description does not mention a subscription. On load it informs of a 3 day trial with a $39 charge thereafter.
