Map features include natural obstructions such as rivers and mountain ranges and strategic passes that must be captured to gain entrance to neighboring regions. #Eight Unique Civilizations# Choose from one of 8 historical civilizations (more to come!) and guide your civilization from a lone clan into a great power. Each civilization has its own architecture, unique units, and special advantages. #Exploration & Investigation# The world of Rise of Civilizations is covered in thick fog. Dispatch scouts to explore this mysterious land and uncover the hidden treasure within. Investigate lost temples, barbarian fortresses, mysterious caves, and tribal villages, gather intelligence on your enemies, and prepare yourself for the ultimate clash! #Unrestricted Troop Movements# New orders can be issued to troops at any time, offering limitless strategic possibilities. Launch a feint at an enemy city, then circle back and meet up with your alliance army to capture a pass. Dispatch troops to collect lumber from a nearby forest and have them pick off a few barbarian clans along the way. Forces can also be split up between multiple commanders so that you can engage in multiple actions simultaneously. #Alliance System# Full set of alliance features allow players to help one another: alliance chat with built-in translation function, officer roles, map indicators to coordinate strategies, and more! Game has a great concept and all around is a good game. Except they have the worst pay to play ever. Server 56 has been ruined by one player because he is so much stronger he literally destroys alliances of like 70 people like it’s no big deal. This has ruined the game and has caused a massive server to stop playing. So unless you have couple thousand dollars to throw at this game then don’t even waste your time getting started on playing it.

This game is very well designed. It has many general ideas that are very close to other games, but little things make it special. I enjoyed playing it for a while but got bored of it quickly. The ads and commercials for it are extremely irrelevant. They don’t compare and was dissatisfied playing the game when seeing he ad. Otherwise this game is enjoyable and if anyone likes a slow paced game with plenty to keep yourself busy... A OK

I’ve been a fan of strategy games for a long time, but I’ve never been as enticed into them as much as this one. It’s always been “pay to win” with these types of games, but in this game, free to play players can actually keep up really well. With the unorthodox fog of war aspect as well as the user-friendly alliance system, this game is much easier to handle than other games of its type. I hope the developers keep working hard because this game shows a lot of promise.
