  • Doesn’t work

    Would’ve been super if it worked, but unfortunately it doesn’t. Would have subscribed if it did work, I don’t know if it’s because my region is unsupported or the app is actually broken. Either way, it’s a shame.
  • Stalls when loading panels. CONSTANTLY.

    Every fourth panel is a black screen with a loading spinner. Sometimes it loads, sometimes not. Have to restart the app to get it to load multiple times every single session. Have more than enough bandwidth and an iPhone Pro Max 13. Why these pages don’t buffer and preload is absolutely beyond me. Not to mention several comics whose panels are literally switched upside down from landscape to portrait and will not right themselves. Sometimes tapping will skip an entire series of panels for no apparent reason. All in all great content…but the app is a sloppy, buggy mess.

  • Account Issues Galore

    I’ve enjoyed the app extensively since o got the subscription, but last time i got onto it i was booted out of my account because of an “unknown error” as i tried desperately to get back into my account my password kept getting marked wrong (even though it wasn’t). No biggie right? Wrong. Every time I’ve tried to change my password or even do anything involving my account in general, I’m immediately met with a big red marker saying “unknown error” no matter what i do. ai love this app a lot but it’s hust really disappointing to have to jump through hoops over something i have no information on.
  • 6 months is long

    6 months is a long embargo time. If they got it down to 3 as Marvel does, it would be more worth it. I think they even promised a shorter wait time when the nixed the videos. What happened to that?
  • Some good, lots of bad.

    Great that they offer easy access to some of the greatest story arcs in DC history. Not every issue is available and it is common to have the 2nd part of a 2-part story missing. Lots of issues with app and website, problems logging in, strange errors, impossible to get help online. Recommendation: try it through a monthly subscription. Make sure to purchase through Apple so you can cancel easily. After trying both, Marvel is much better and reliable.
  • UX and UI need work

    1. At no point during the reading experience should I have to rotate my iPhone to read any copy. Please optimize for the notch on iPhones. 2. When reading a series I should be able to continue to the next issue in the series and not get pushed out to the home landing page of the app. I should be able to jump back in on any comic I’ve been reading and not have to hunt for my place. 3. The descriptions for a series is two or three line lengths with no way to continue reading the summary. Most end with … A lot of talent and energy goes into the storytelling craft of the DC universe, please do it justice with better craft in this app design and coding.
  • MyDC too buggy for too long

    For over a year now I’ve had issues with the MyDC portion of the app. Every time I open MyDC, the page freezes for 15-30 seconds. So I can’t scroll or select anything for up to half a minute, and every page I open, it’s the same thing, 15-30 seconds. I don’t get how there have been multiple updates to the app this year, but the issue hasn’t been fixed. The developers know about this problem. I know a lot of other people have this problem as well, and we pay for this service, so why is nothing being done about it ??
  • Iphone notch obscures image

    Fix your app so that the picture does not appear behind the stupid notch on apple devices. Create a black border at top, even when zoomed in so that text and/or part of the image does not get obscured by the physical limitations of Apple’s poor design choice.
