  • Worthless

No thanks, I’d rather not spend an additional 29.99 for digital versions of books I already spent 50 on for the hard copy. Money grabbing whores.
  • Character sheet?

I would love my digital character sheet on my phone it seems all I can get in the app are rulebooks and campaigns
  • Not what I expected, but not bad.

I use the website, and it was expecting something similar. I’m glad we can lug around the books without the book, but, it would be a 5 star improvement if we could view and interact with our character sheets like we do online, maybe even download it so when we play outside of wifi range we can still have our information, and when the reconnect to the internet, it updates any changes from that session.
  • Has potential but not there yet

This app has the potential to be really great. The website is fantastic and easy to use but until you can view and edit your characters in the app, and view campaigns you are playing in from the app, it’s really nothing more than an SRD tool. When going to My Content section. Of the app, all you see is basic rules and any purchases you have made. Really like the Beyond website and tools, app is just not there yet!
  • Wait for them to update things

As many of the reviews state the app is lacking even some of the most basic of features such as showing you your own character sheets. All it has is unlocked hand guides that it allows you download and sort of use offline. (Though you cant actually use dnd beyond offline itself if you have the whole suite) while the books look good the UI needs quite a bit of work, it feels clunky considering that it should allow you to read the guides just like books. Using the search feature was something i was looking forward to, as one would expect the search should have been able to bring up anything you are looking for simply by typing in the key words or phrases. Instead what we get is something akin to trying to play darts while standing on your head, backwards, in the dark, while a mariachi band plays loudly whilst circling you on tiny motorcycles. SO all in all while the ideas are there, the execution is almost non existent. Hopefully i will be able to give it a better review once they finish the product but until then one star it is
  • Needs More Work

As a reference the app is just okay. There are better reference apps out there. I really hope they add Character sheets and building functionality to the app, because the website is awesome so we know they are capable of doing this right.
  • App does not work

    By Tunftiobftedgiobf
You can’t open anything from the compendium page - it just crashes. You can search, but when you try to click on any result, the page is blank and never loads (after waiting 5 minutes). But if you search for something, click on a result, then go to the compendium page, click on the book, and wait 60 seconds, then the content you searched for (and only that content) is viewable for about 30 seconds before the app crashes. This app does not have the minimum functionality indicated in its description. Stick to the website until there is some form of quality control on this app.
  • Could be better

I thought the character sheets would be one this which is the only reason I downloaded it
  • Hoping it was more like the website

Hopefully they will add features like the website. Such as the character creation stuff and so on and so forth.
  • Crashes all the time

I really wanted to use this app, but the app crashes every time I open it. It’s impossible to use this as my portable reference so I can play anywhere instead of dragging forty books around.
