  • Good, yet not great

    By mrgrafix
I love that it takes the hassle out of meal prep, however as someone who was already seasoned with cookbooks, I just wish it’s units were consistent. Things like switching from ounces to pounds and using the recipe recommended tablespoon (Tbs) would make it phenomenal. If the ability to convert the unit was available it would make this sublime. Also, the portion converter is missing the decimal place. Fix these quirks and keep up the great recipes and it’s definitely a five star app
  • Great app

Love the ability to add the items to shopping list and change out meals. Very easy, my only feedback is the images look nothing like the actual food, so while stock images are great, some really images would be awesome as well.
  • I LOVE this app! Keep the vegan recipes coming!

    By VanessaTil
I have never reviewed an app, but had to talk about this one. I have been a vegetarian for 15 years and dabbled in veganism countless times. I have always considered myself fairly healthy; I would meal prep with fresh ingredients each week, avoid high calorie drinks and processed foods, and rarely eat out. As I’ve gotten older, my metabolism has definitely evolved and my weight has crept up ever so slightly. 6 months ago I decided to join Orangetheory Fitness and start exercising more in the hopes of getting healthier and dropping 15 lbs. I was instantly hooked. On a good week, I go daily; on a bad week, I go four times. After 5 months of religious exercise, my body definitely changed. I was stronger, and had more endurance but I was not seeing my weight go down. I realized that while my diet was healthy, I was missing the mark somehow, so I started looking into macro counting. I had heard of it before but the thought of managing my finicky vegetarian/vegan diet on top of macros seemed overwhelming. While researching, I found MealPrepPro and decided to give it a try exactly four weeks ago today. In that time, I have FINALLY seen weight changes. My starting weight was 142.9 lbs and as of this morning, I am down to 135.4 lbs. 7.5 lbs in four weeks while eating good food and not going hungry? Yes, please. It has been an awesome experience and I recommend it to everyone, probably to an obnoxious degree. But I don’t even care; the recipes are delicious and quick, the grocery lists are invaluable and the ability to switch out recipes incredibly simple. Seriously, it’s foolproof and if you’re reading this, you’re just stalling. Download the app, start planning your favorite meals and get cooking already.
  • Long time app user/YouTube subscriber

This app needs serious updates. And fast. The amount of food waste on a 2 person plan and these forced 7 day meal prep recipes is absurd. I tried to swap to 3 or 4 and it only shows the macros for the main user.... The breakfast quinoa sausage casserole in particular would not fit in 3 full size casserole dishes, never mind mixing bowls. I chopped vegetables for an hour and somehow the 4lbs of egg whites just didn’t raise any alarms. I didn't even know it was a 7 day recipe until I started cooking and wondered why this disaster was unfolding in front of me. No fault to Chef the food has been amazing all the way through, but the avenue in which it’s being shared/instructed to PAYING subscribers needs to change and fast. I hadn’t noticed this issue before as I only recently activated the two user settings. I can’t begin to express how long/stressful/wasteful a 7 day two user recipe leaves a user/their kitchen. Only a picture could tell the whole story. Won’t be subscribing/watching if this doesn’t change ASAP. This is beyond an oversight reading other reviews so ignoring it does no good for your brand Chef, get on it...
  • Payment

I am truly not understanding why I am still being charged monthly after discontinuing this app??? I was sure to deactivate my account with MealPrepPro and I just received a notification that my card has been charged. The developer of the app really needs to correct this issue. Many people are probably still being charged unknowingly. A bit deceiving to be honest!

It would be perfect if there is video show you to to cook unstead of slides, Specially if you have 0 experiance cooking like me for that I cancelled.
  • Charged me 50$ and said oh well, can’t help ya.

    By jhiggi55
I decided to plan my own meals. I had signed up for the monthly charge. They took advantage of me and charged me 50$. When I contacted them, they said they don’t handle their own billing so I’m out of luck. Honestly you don’t need this app. You can plan all your meals using free resources and a little googling. Now that I know they have dishonest billing procedures I would advise against this app.
  • Needs work

    By Merissamike
I’ve been using the app for almost 2 weeks and I like it for the most part but it does need work. I don’t know if it’s just my phone but when I swap out recipes it doesn’t update to my grocery list so that makes the grocery shopping difficult. Also some of the items are very hard to find like “arrowroot starch” for example. I’m from a small town so that was impossible to find. The prep times are also far from accurate. Me and my husbands goals are to GAIN so it DOES NOT take “5 min” to prep 1 meal for 4 days where you have to trim fat off of 8 lbs of chicken, chop 17 bell peppers, cut 2 lbs of green beans down the middle and when the recipe is so big it doesn’t fit in the oven so you have to make it in lots of big batches so it takes forever. Also one last thing, like is said maybe it’s my phone but there is no decimal point on the number pad. When I’m trying to portion out our meals I have to go to my notes, write out the number, copy and paste it to the number pad.
  • Shopping list/recipe list

    By jay_boo:)
The “shopping list” asks for WAY less than what the recipes are. I.e- the ‘shopping list’ asks for 1.1 oz of chicken thighs then the FIRST recipe asks for 2.2 oz of chicken thighs....
