  • A Delightful App

    By YokoshimaTanuki
This app is absolutely phenomenal! I am currently working on my first year of plant studies in my high school botany-prep class, and this app works wonders! Yes, of course it is not 100% accurate, but then again, it removes all instances of human error, so the ONLY ways that it could mistake a plant would be that, for one, the photographer could be doing a not-so-great job at capturing the plant, or that the database has little instances of the plant. The only way to cure that? Continue to use the app! As thousands of people continuously take pictures of plants and post them here, looking for an answer to their questionable identification, the software will only get better! Practice makes perfect, of course, and no human botanist can start off naming every species of haworthia, so why expect that from a machine MADE by humans? Not everyone is perfect, nor is every software. No offense to the creator(s), of course, as I am sure they will agree. I am very grateful that this application was taken time on, perfected, and released in a finished state. Some apps of this nature cannot state the same, sadly. Again, thank you for spending the time to create this app, and, to all of you that doubt or slander this creation, give it a chance. It might just surprise you. 😉
  • Does not work most of the time

    By JimPuerto
More than 50% of the time it incorrectly identifies the plant. When I send the pictures in to be identified I have never received feedback.
  • Oh Well!

    By Pattyoboe
I thought this would be the answer to plant ID, but after getting some right it stopped correctly identifying things. I’ve never heard back when asking for help. I will go back to a Flickr group that helps as it is much more reliable. I wasted my money on this one.
  • Doesn’t seem to recognize anything!

    By D-Coup
I’ve tried the app with several plants I didn’t know, and the app suggested things that didn’t match at all (the online pictures I found based on the PlantSnap suggestion did not remotely match the plant I was trying to identify). After failing several times to identify unknown plants, I started using the app to identify well-known plants, like lettuce and mint, just to see what would happen. It couldn’t identity those, either!🙁 Unfortunately, this purchase, though a cool idea, was a complete waste of money.
  • Do not waste time or money

    By Icachef
Tried on six plants I have and know and not one was correct.
  • Cannot identify anything

    By SamM8642
This App is waste of money and time. It can't identify any plants. Even when it gave accuracy of 90% it was wrong. It could not identify even well known fruits trees.
  • It works sometimes

    By geetuhferu8
Plant Snap has helped only about five of ten times that I have used it. I feel that I submitted good pictures but sometimes its suggestions were obviously not correct.
