  • Crashes Continuously

... and doesn’t ever track where you leave off even when it doesn’t crash. Too stressfully erratic technically to watch regularly.
  • Good library, crappy app

    By Qui my
Crashes about every 15 minutes, have to manually position it at the point of the crash. Never remembers where I left off. Must have been written by a bunch of beginners.
  • Kept crashing

    By DADruggist
Watched one episode of the show, Silent Witness, and it crashed twice. Canceled free trial after episode ended. Shows looked interesting, but not worth the hassle.
  • Only have BritBox - no Netflix or Acorn

    By Mattie from D.C.
I love, love, love BritBox. I have everything I need there, instead of a lot of junk on Netflix I’ll never watch. And Acorn was fine, but I could get most of what’s there on PBS Passport. BritBox was a little shaky at first (a year ago, when they first started). The video streaming would malfunction, and it wouldn’t keep track of where you had left off. But the toll-free customer service was friendly and quick with their response. They even reinstated a show I wanted back (“Vicar of Dibley”) the day after we talked! One last thing: Some will roll their eyes at this, but I really like it that you can watch cultural programs like the Royal Wedding, Edinburgh Tattoo, and King’s College Choir Christmas and Easter services. With my mum living in the UK, it makes me feel like I’m there with her... Thank you, BritBox, for bringing cheer to us here in the States!
  • 🤦🏽‍♀️Get’s stuck on Search page 🤦🏽‍♀️

🤦🏽‍♀️ Get’s stuck on Search page. Doesn’t not respond to the back button. So my only option is to wait it out or shut off my Apple TV. Soooo frustrating. BUT other than the reliability of this app, or lack thereof, I love the idea of the app. Gives me access to all my favorite shows, sans One Foot in The Grave. I’ve even found new shows. Wish I could say I love this app whole heartedly. But there’s to much grief with it freezing up. I JUST WANNA WATCH MY SHOWS!! 🤦🏽‍♀️😔

Don’t give these guys your $$$! They keep taking my money after I canceled!! Paid for the subscription yet when I try to use the app it wants me to subscribe!! I already did!!! Can’t watch a thing! Contacted customer service twice by phone and several times by email. The guy on the phone sounded like he was 15. He was rude and kept cutting me off! I can’t get them to return my emails or refund me my money!! SCAM!!! Don’t do it!!
  • Worthless App!

I've had this app for 4 days and it's never worked right. It was a total waste of time and money. I was really looking forward to watching the programs, but it's too frustrating to deal with. I've cancelled my subscription and I'm going back to Acorn TV!
  • Good content. Horrible UIX

    By Alvarofrb
I’ve been using Britbox for a few months on my AppleTV. I’m satisfied with the content. The user interface could be a lot better. But my number one complaint would be the way it handles subtitles. There’s like a whole other version of the program with subtitles. So when you resume watching a program, it defaults to the non subtitled version. Then you need to hunt for the subtitled one. Plus the subtitles are minuscule and there’s no way to fix that.
  • Absolutely crap service

    By Hcjeidnefiwndkjslshsjxyshc
I just downloaded Britbox via Amazon, it stops playing every ten minutes! Useless. I stream Hulu Netflix have all sorts of streaming but this is just crap streaming. What’s the point? Every ten minutes it stops. Will not be paying for this crappy service. Am so disappointed as a Brit in US for 20 years, was looking forward to enjoying it. Don’t waste your 7 bucks a month on this.
  • Hopeless..

We have had a BritBox subscription for well over a year..consistently struggle to watch any of the content although there are good programmers available. It's always buffering, it crashes constantly and doesn't keep track of what you have ever watched if you do manage to watch through the whirring buffering wheel. Worst app ever..
